I'm normally a UK 30F/32E, and got a 32DD. This band size works well and I'm wearing it on the 2nd loosest hooks, 4 columns of hooks. The cup size is fine but a bit of shape mismatch, my soft tissue tends to pool at the bottom of the bra and then there is a bit of empty space at the apex, and more space there when I don't hook the j-hook. But its acceptable to me and you can't tell by looking as it is molded and keeps its shape. Wires encapsulate my breast tissue perfectly, super supportive and comfortable and love the J-hook with adjustable height. It doesn't flatten and under clothes looks like a normal bra shape.
Super soft and comfy material! The blue is gorgeous. A large section of the straps are wide with nice padding (padded section 1.25" at its wide point). The typical Freya stretchy/big band is the main reason this didn't work for me, which I am a bit sad about.
Of the three sports bras I own this one has the lowest cut. However it also has the tallest gore wires which is not great for me since I have very narrow set boobs. The gore wires are definitely sitting on my cleavage. I also needed to bend the bottom of the wire out a little as it was digging into my rib cage at first. I'm impressed with the four columns of hooks in the back. I wasn't psyched about buying a nude colored bra or sports bra but the price was right and the pink contrast stitching helps a little. Overall really good quality bra that keeps my boobs in place while running.
It’s very cute and very high quality! It definitely gives a lot of support but it’s not for anyone who doesn’t like a tight fit! For me the bra was nice in the band, if a teeny bit tight but I really like that in a sports bra, but the cups cut into my boobs quite a bit and made me look silly. I’m gonna try out the same bra with a larger cup size soon hopefully!
I cannot give an accurate assessment this bra because I cannot even get it on without hurting myself. The back does not open completely, and having such a small band size makes it impossible to get on over my head and shoulders. Can't pull it on from the bottom because it won't stretch over my hips. Horrible design, IMO.
I have no idea how my boobs are anymore. I thought I was shallow, now I think I might be even, but behave like fOb because of extra wide and short roots. I also have wide set breasts and a lot of inner fullness.
I love this bra! I'm on the little side of 30 and I have to use the largest hooks on the band, so size up! Also, the band is extra extra firm, gives amazing support. It doesnt squish the boobs, it encapsulates them almost like having a hammoc under and over your breast, but not in the center. I have very wide set breasts, ...and it fits me perfectly. Gore is suuuper high, so it works to encapsulate my inner fullness. Does not create quad boobs even if its a full coverage bra, which never happens with me.
It gives this very large, slighlty splayed look. But I like it! It suits my natural shape better than bras who aim for too much centerness. I am very petite, but I like to have large breasts. My breasts naturally go further under my arms, so its usually painful to bring them back center. And I dont need side support because I am center full, if it makes sense.
Doesnt push up breasts, no cakes on the plate here, but a really great tshirt bra! I dont even wear it for gym, but for regular daily wear.
I would love to find a bra with a lesser firm band and with different color schemes that fit similarly, if somebody has suggestions https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 160 more words
My Stats: FOB, projected, close set, firm and dense tissue. Size: Normally 28FF, got this in a 30F. Decided to size up because the 28FF was very tight.
Bra Stats Appearance: grey crop top looking sports bra. The straps have a zebra design accent before turning into a gray ribbon. There are also pink accents on the bra.
Cups: the cups are good. I feel secure in them. The wires are a good length. They encapsulate the breasts well.
Band: firm band, good support.
Gore: gore is of mid height and doesn't tack
Straps: regular distance apart. Pretty comfortable for sport activity
Shape Under Clothing: not quite the same shape as the Panache Underwire Sports Bra. There is separation, no uniboob effect. The shape is kind of peaked which in a sports bra, I don't really mind.
ABOUT THIS BRA This is a lightly lined, seamed, molded, wired, back close sports bra.
Purchasing: * $50.30 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns * Also available with Amazon Wardrobe. * Available in black (with white trim), beige (with peach trim), gray/teal, red/gray, and navy/blue print.
Band: * One layer of a smooth, opaque, stretch knit. * Wing support: seaming. * Full band - band is straight beneath wires. * Back close with FOUR columns of hooks. * Narrowest part of gore is not at the top, but 4 cm below the top.
Straps: * front: padded, non-stretch * back: smooth elastic * soft (don’t stand up on their own) * partial adjust (limited by padded straps & J-hook) * leotard ...back * center pull
Cups: * one vertical-ish seam (creates side support), body of cup is seamless and molded * full cup * Side support built-into cup seaming AND inner encapsulation in a donut shape. * unpadded, average strength underwire * Inner and outer top edge of cup has stretch seaming. * Cup is constructed of thin padding sandwiched between two layers of a stretch, opaque knit. * Inner encapsulating “donut” formed with two pieces of a non-stretch knit.
ABOUT ME: petite with wide, horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection (not shallow nor super projected) * average-set (one finger width of space between breasts) * wide roots (extend to the mid-axillary line) * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * short root height, average vertical placement * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FoB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame * front (anterior) rib flares (not usually a fit issue, but I like that longlines make them disappear)
FIT DETAILS
Band: * length: Band is tough to fasten and strains hooks. Bottom of the band stays in place with wear and is comfy. Top of band is loose (so outer end of wire is unsupported) * wings: height good, smooth line
Gore: Floats, because so wide that it sits of breast tissue. Not painful. Height fine. but wireless so acceptable.
Straps: * Not too far apart. * Adjust short enough.
Cups: * Wires enclose tissue nicely AT FIRST, but tissue migrates backwards with movement. (Wires can’t keep breast inside cup.) * Breast pushes wimpy wire away from body. * Top of cup: smooth because so much boob is smashed into armpit and escapes past unsupported wires. * Bottom of cup filled (enough immediate projection at wire) * Cup apex: not deep enough (boob smooshed into armpit). * Cup apex: doesn’t match my natural apex (too low and lateral) * Wrinkles in lateral part of cup because it’s in my armpit. (Likely not designed to make that curve). * Outer edge of cup cuts into Tail of Spence. * Side view: round, some lift * Front view: wide (east-west) – side support seaming doesn’t do much
Other: * Fabric very soft. * Sporty look. * Thinly lined cups do NOT prevent erect nipple show through. * Fit was so crummy that bra could not prevent bounce.
ASSESSMENT & PLAN * Shape mis-match. STOP. * Didn’t plan to try this bra. Was sent this model by mistake. Will return and re-order the other Freya wired sports bra that is supposed to have a more projected shape. Read more 432 more words
Great sports bra (used to fit, I've gone down a few sizes over the years). I found out I don't like underwired sports bras so I never wore this bra much. Would be a good sports bra for a 30H
Bought this on ebay for $9. Fits great and super comfortable. I've often found Freya 28 bands too loose, but this one is fine. Also, there's no underwire to dig in. Only issue is the shape---very pointy and attracts attention, unlike my other Freya sports bras with a rounded shape. For that reason, I only wear this around the house (but can't wait to change into it).
The color I chose seemed black on the stock picture but it is a dark blue. I don't like how close the the straps are located, it makes my shoulders look really wide. The band fit on the tightest hook only and there was quite some wrinkling, so not enough support for me.
I don´t know what I was thinking but I thought I bought this bra in UK 30E, but now that I´m adding it to Bratabase it seems that it is 30DD UK and 65E EU! No wonder the cups were a tad too small! Because of the slightly too small cups I took the wires out. I estimated it would not affect the fit too much and I was right. The cup space is better now and the bra still supports and lifts the boobs very well and the shape is perky.
Other than that, it is a good sports bra, feels very sturdy and even the band length is ok for me, even though I usually lean against 28 bands.
Very utilitarian bra. Wide wires at 7.0 seems to fit all my side boob, but doesn't offer enough encapsulation for me to stop movement, especially up/down. A bit too shallow for my slight FOB, the one straight seam across gives a pointy shape. I prefer a molded cup or padding for sport bras. The band is very thick and strong, barely any stretch. It is very uncomfortable too breath deeply it in, and leaves red mark, even after 1-2 hours. Hopefully will be more comfortable after some weight loss, but will definitely delegate to more low/mid intensity exercise.
This was one of the 8 bras I tried in my first Amazon Prime Wardrobe Box! (Sadly, 8/8 did NOT fit) I chose the red and gray sports bra; the color was really cute. But the wires are WIDE. The top of the cup gaped, too, which was weird? The fit was just sorta all over the place. The Panache sports bra I have has an open top because the cups are so tall, but it doesn't feel as weird and unsupportive as this one. The cups seem spread apart more than I like, too, though that's more than likely just because it's a sports bra and not a regular one. Granted, I only tried this on briefly, so take that into consideration! Overall, I could tell right away this wouldn't fit right.
First time trying a Freya sports bra. After wearing the panache Sport this doesn't feel right and isn't fitted for me at all. It comes up under the arms way to high, the cup is moulded different so they sit low but still kinda swing/bounce, and it pushes out breast tissue rather than hold it in. It feels supportive, but that's just because of the stiff material. Only thing I like is that it has a J hook to convert into a racer-back. Wish I would've been able to try it on before purchasing since return shipping to UK isn't worth it. Definitely not a fan of this bra at all.
I'm a 30GG and tried my "sister size" of 32G. It's very well supportive in how the cups are designed, but the cups are very pointy and I had to sew in some to make the shape more natural. It smooshes in by boobs, which is fine, but without the underwire there's no separation nor does the center part sit on my sternum. I'd like this bra better if had the option of making it racer-back.
I have shallow conical breasts. I was initially concerned about the band of this bra because I read that it was very firm and read to size up in the band on many sites (including this one). However, I was pleased I did not size up because it fits me very comfortably and securely! However, I am on the smaller side of 28 (27" ribcage), so it may be more snug on a true 28. The cup fits my larger breast pretty much perfectly, but wrinkles a lot on my smaller side (as expected). I plan to wear a nylon bra insert on that side to even them out. This bra does give a torpedo look, as others have pointed out (haha), but I don't mind it as I have pointy breasts anyways and can embrace my shape. I also like the V-neck cut. The color is vibrant, the material is soft and comfortable, and I can't wait to show this off at the gym!
Bought this on some deep discount Nordstrom's deal in the hopes I could wedge into it for high-impact sporting events, but in the end, I really would rather not. Band is far too tight for my build and I do have some quadboob with it despite pretty easily moulded breasts. Visibility of straps and wings is also too high for the shirts I would wear this with.
It pushes my boobs pretty high up and it feels like there is a little space in the top of the cup. Also the wires go up high in the middle and that can irritate my skin there. Despite that is this the best sports bra I have ever worn, I can breathe while I run and there is almost no bounce. No idea how I used to do sports without breathing.
Hi do you know if this bra discontinued
