This bra fits comfortably, which is a plus, but it doesn't fit well... The shape of the bra gives me great shape from the front, but, from the sides, looks pointy and forces my boobs downward. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I think the problem might lie in the fact that the bottom section of the cup does not meet the strap, like in a lot of other fabric bras. Also, the bottom section comes rather low in the bra.
Stretched Band: 27" end to end Band Length: 24" end to end Cup Width: 5" Cup Depth: 8" (yes, it is small for it's size) Wire Length: 8.25" Cup Seperation: 1" Strap Width: 0.75"
It's really pretty and has the support and structure of the Deco range. The band is just as loose though. Closed on the middle hooks comfortably brand new, but I can manage to close them on the smallest.
Unfortunately this bra runs 1 full cup size too small. This is noticeable in the cup depth. For this size it should be 8.75-9". That is what my other two Deco Plunges measure at. The stitching at the top of the cup doesn't help ...either. It's tight across my boobs and then the outer edge of the cup curls out, more so on my left breast as that one is just a tiny bit bigger. I do remember trying this same bra on instore in Nordstrom...pretty sure in a 32DD...and the cup on that was also small, so I know it wasn't just this one. Returned this for a 28FF, just awaiting its arival (early March hopefully).
After three years, my boobs have grown and my ribcage has shrunk. So now instead of wrinkly cups with a well-fitting band, I'm filling out every bit of the cups, and migrating a bit because the band is no longer tight against my ribs. I still love that it's a balconnette and appreciate the shape it gives me, but it isn't supportive anymore. It's simply good enough in a pinch--and I've been in a lot of bra-related pinches of late!
This is a seamed cup bra which means the shape is less rounded than one gets from a t-shirt bra. Unfortunately the shape also means that it is VERY unforgiving if your boobs aren't exactly the same size. On one side I fill the cup nearly perfectly with slight wrinkling. On the other, I have a bad case of quadboob. In addition I don't think seamed cups are best for my generally rounded shape. Seems they are better for pointier boobs. I would think this bra is ideal for bottom heavy boobs that point up, but I don't have those.
Otherwise, I like the firmness of the band. I don't think it will stretch much over time. The detailing is pretty and the straps are strong and pretty.
I bought this in the Lupin color, which is a bright purple color. Really beautiful! It has bow a black and white bow on the center gore with similar bows where the straps meet the cups. This is not an absolutely perfect fit, a tiny bit big in the cups, but I am able to adjust the straps enough to make it close enough. The band is nice and snug. Fabulous cleavage with this bra!
I really would hate to be bothersome or sound rude. but I saw your pictures and I couldn't help but notice that the cups look a little small for you. Now you are a 28 band size, which means you are fairly small, but you seem to have some extra tissue under your arms, and I believe that it's breast tissue that simply doesn't fit into the cup. I think you would benefit from a cup or two larger.
I'm sorry for you, but you see what you want to see. :-) This bra fit me. I like when bra is tight in band, that's all. I have just fat tissue under my arms, is not boobs tissue. So thank you for your opinions, but you are wrong. Best regards
Hm, I don't appreciate the tone that you replied to me in. If you weren't open to seeing what other's might think, then this might not be the site for you. I like when the band is tight as well, which is why I'm a 28, but I have absolutely no fat underneath my arms, so I doubt you do as well. I would appreciate if you reworded your reply, instead of coming off rudely like the way you did.
Like many others, I love the Deco for its comfort and shape. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you're coming from Victoria's Secret bras. It will give you the kind of shape you're used to. The molded cups are pretty thick, but there's no "push up" padding like there is in many American bras.
I have this bra in Nude and Pistachio. The pistachio seems a teeny bit bigger in the cups, so you might want to try on different colors before you buy if you're on the cusp of a size.
One of the straps on the pistachio-colored bra started unraveling after only a few weeks, so you should be careful with how you care for these.
I had this before I realised I am really really not a 32DD and got properly fitted. When all my boob is in the bra, I'm spilling out and the band is riding up. Of course, it's because I am actually a 30FF. Even so, the band seemed loose for a 32. It makes me sad to get rid of it because it's very pretty and is a nice cut. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra is what I can describe as fantastic. I wear mine daily and for work and it works fine, it holds me where I want my boobs to be. Maybe the bad point in wearing it for work would be the plunge style isn't something I should be wearing as a waitress as the makes my shirt pull a little but it is the best fitting bra I have had in years.
I used to love this bra but now realise it has far too big a band for me. The cups are also too small, giving me quadraboob, but ironically too wide. I need narrow but deep cups in order to have a good fit.
The lace in the cups has a little stretch to it and is fairly soft. The embroidery on the top half of the cups is very pretty and feminine. There is a pretty green bow on each side where the strap meets the cup and a green and a white bow on the centre gore.
The fully-adjustable straps are thick and comfortable. The band has three rows of three hooks.
The underwires sometimes chafe after being worn all day.
This bra is very pretty indeed and you can obtain it in a range of colours. It has been discontinued by Freya but at the time of writing you can still obtain it on eBay and elsewhere on the internet.
I really like this bra. Although my brests bulge a little, it is not very much. I find usually the top of bras is too big, and yet my breasts bulge a little (near where the two cups meet). I think if I went up a size to stop the bulge I wouldn't fill it at the top (this is what usually happens) so although I can see that it bulges a little it is not so much that i returned the bra. I find the bra very comfortable, supportive and a great shape. It is also very pretty, and the briefs that match it are very good too (don't ride up which i find rare!)
Didn't believe the hype about this as I've never really got on with these foam-lined t-shirt bras OR Freya as a brand, but I thought I should try it and see. I took reviewers advice and went down a band size, but stuck to my usual cup size, and though it was slightly tight on the first two wears, as it stretch it turned out to be perfect.
So I finally saw what all the fuss was about. Not only does it provide great support and give a good cleavage, it also has a really great shape under clothes. It doesn't look huge on - the uninformed would probably think I was wearing a C cup.
Most importantly, nothing rubs. I have a huge problem with the centre gore on plunge styles - only one or two bras ever have not rubbed in some way after a days wear. This is one of those bras. Totally worth the money and lives up to the hype. Well done, Freya!
Fits awesome and snug around the chest (just like all Freya bras) DEFINITELY need to go a cup size larger in this one; I fit 30FF perfectly in Freya balcony bras, but cup is slightly too small in this one with my larger breast. Comfortable and lifts them up! Love that I can wear lower necklines and v-neck shirts without seeing my bra.
This is my favorite Freya style of the 4 that I own. I was surprised that the lace is not scratchy at all, the straps are softer than usual, & the cut of the cup is a bit fuller than the other plunges - kind of between that & a balcony, like a true 3/4 cup.
The wires are short at the sides - which I personally love, as I hate too-long wires that scrape under my arms (I'm looking at you, Panache). The cups are a little more generous than most Freyas & of course the band runs larger. I usually end up wishing I'd bought a ...36G, as with the 38FF I always start out on the middle hook. But that size wasn't on eBay for a steal. So.
I have it black, which has a lovely periwinkle blue subtle pattern across the bottom cups & little rosettes at the gore. I wore this all day in comfort, as the cups are a lot broader than the balcony style Antoinette I have, & the material is far softer than the embroidered Mischa. Read more 76 more words
This is a 32FF UK size and 32H US size, however the tag says 32FF for both countries. The band fit me perfectly on the loosest hook, which is great for a strapless because it does not fall down. Although the bra fits me, I feel I could have gone down to an F cup because I dont fill out the cup fully. I am between band sizes and opted for the smaller band, which was the right choice. The material is pleasant on the skin and very comfortable. Although this is a plunge style, it has more than enough material to keep the "girls" in. Previously I haven't been able to wear plunges because my breasts escape. My advice would be to keep normal cup size and go down a back size when ordering this style.
Was super psyched to get this bra as "Monet" is one of my favorites: Rave review here: http://bra.pe/Mhe/. This bra should be identical in every way and it mostly is: foam cup material, mesh overlay, lace trim, strap elastic... Except I noticed the cups are shorter and so I pop-out more!! It's difficult to explain.. it's not exactly quad-boob but it's not really to say that the center gore doesn't sit flat. I keep adjusting myself to see if I can do all of the following: A) cover my areolas with the cups, B) have the center gore sit flat AND C) get all my breast ...tissue into the cups.
Placing the Keisha onto the Monet and vice-versa it is so easy to see that the cups are different heights. Turns out Keisha measures -.5cm shorter than Monet. It leaves me with an uneasy feeling if I were to wear it all Summer long, something I was *very excited* to do! I am having second thoughts about one of my most-anticipated bra purchases of the Summer... back it went to the UK. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Purchased & Returned from Bravissimo, Mid-June 2011. Measured unstretched immediately before wearing for Bratabase. Read more 102 more words
I got this in a swap, so the band was a little more stretched than it would be otherwise. It still fits just fine on the second hook. And I like it, a lot. It's supportive, comfortable, not itchy (after a wash) and looks sexy.
My only complaint has to do with the color. There is little contrast between my skin and the pistachio color, and because the mesh is basically transparent...my nipples stand out through fabric that's at all on the thin side. Forget seams; my areolas are the headlights. But whatever, I just can't expect this to be invisible under white shirts.
Also, the center gore nags at me by the end of the day. I think it's itchy or otherwise digging into my skin, and I'm not sure exactly why.
I like the fuschia Eleanor better than the pistachio one. Because I got this one from Figleaves in 2011 and the pistachio one from a swap (where she had owned it for at least 6 months), I suspect this model is slightly different. It's a tighter band, which I like. The cups just seem to fit my breasts more neatly. The center gore works with my sternum more nicely.
I do keep adjusting the straps more than other bras. Perhaps the length needs fiddling, or perhaps putting the band on the second hook places the straps in a better position for my back.
**My 1st Deco purchase was the patterned "Frida". Full fit & style review here: http://bra.pe/SLx/. **Solid color Deco reviews here: http://bra.pe/SMm/.
I love Deco!
Crystal is a patterned version in Teal & Baby Blue reverse spots. The Blue looks White online and even in my photographs but it is really a super soft Baby Blue. Blue-Green or Green-Blue and Soft Blue: It is still very pretty. Identical fit so no surprises if you own any Deco (including previous patterns: Lydia "Milkshake", Frida "Purple Animal Print", Carly "Ivory Chain Print") Completely soft and smooth cup material and shape. Pleased to add another beautiful Freya to my collection.
The best fit I've found is 30G starting on 2nd hook as the band is loose on me. Deco has a popular reputation for a loose band. I'd buy 28GG if it were made.
Measured unstretched before wearing. Purchased late-September 2011 from ASOS.
