So close!! I had previously tried this bra in a 30ddd, I couldn’t quite fill it. 30dd is better but still slightly wrinkled at the top. I love it the shape and the feel of the fabric. It is softer than the same bra in the black color way. Hoping I can try this in a 28f! (Update: 28f is too small in the cup)
I really thought this was going to work. I liked the expression lace bra and the quality so I had high hopes. This is supposed to have the same wire as the lace plunge. The size 30dd fit pretty well but I could use a 28dd or 28f (waiting to try these sizes).
The molded cup is stiff and not like my spacer bra. The wire is also hard with no five. The cups are shallow and I can’t fill the bottom near the wire, there’s about 1” of empty space, so I need something with more immediate projection. Everything else seemed ok. Band width was good, the wires were high but not high enough to bother me. I don’t think sizing up would help, it’s a shape mismatch.
Update: Now that I know what really good fit is, this bra was just too small. I also noted that the sizing was not consistent between colors nor across the brand. Even plunge I got from Freya fit different, even though they were all the same size. They're sitting in a drawer until I decide whether to sell them or donate them. I want to love it, but it's not The One. The good: Fits my IMF best of what I've tried so far, lifts the ladies well, the gore tacks perfect even though I'm close-set. Pretty projected, good support. The bad: Straps sit too wide, always in danger of slipping off. The ugly: Fits my smaller side okay, slight quadding on bigger side when first put on. As the day goes, the quadding gets worse and it starts happening on the smaller side. I have to re-seat periodically to keep it looking okay. Thinking I need to go up a cup, but then I fear the strap problem will get worse.
Tried on. Lovely feminine colorway and lace and the potential to be quite comfortable (if the shape worked). This is projected verging on pointy, almost retro, but the projection is in the upper half of the cup, not down at the wire. I suspect the 32G was on the large cup size, but am sure if I went down to the FF the very closed top of the cup would cut into my tall roots. Oddly, the band seemed MUCH bigger on the top hooks than the bottom. I have a rib flare so I’m used to hooking the top 2 rows one tighter than the bottom, but this was particularly noticeable.
Classic lightweight Freya foam and comfort, and previous Freya longline fit issues for me (wide wires, can’t get anywhere near the bottom of the shallow cup, etc. Difference with the fancies one is it really seems to want the boobs further toward the armpits/shoved to the sides and is possibly even more shallow and wide-wired than I remember the other longlines being. Band quite big at first try-on—I’m between a true 32 and 34 and would probably take a 30 for longevity’s sake in this (if they made my cup size)
This bra for well overall and was comfortable. But it does not give me a shape I care for. It doesn't offer any side support and it gives me a torpedo shape. The straps and beams offer good support.
I wanted to love this bra because I think it is absolutely adorable but it just isn't right for me. I tried a size up based on reviews saying it ran small, but it was too big. There is not enough projection for me. I also really need more support and this offers no extra support, no side sling. I love how close set the gore is and the straps are nice and wide. I wish it had 3 hooks. I want to try it in a GG but I don't think I will. This bra just isn't supportive enough for me and I think it would cut into my upper tissue in my true size.
i liked this bra a lot! the wires are a bit short for my taste but still comfortable and effective. band runs a little tight but not uncomfortable. the lace however is already pilling so it loses points there... slayyy
I wasn't initially sold on this colorway, but kept thinking about the fit so I had to buy it. This bra is almost perfect, so is perfectly acceptable for my normal use. The cups are a bit wide still (about 1cm on each side) but it's absolutely the closest I've gotten so far! It's sexy and extremely comfortable, and the straps adjust long enough! I'm very happy with this bra, and looking forward to finding more colorways in this cut to enjoy.
My teen has regular Decos in 28GG and 28H, and while Deco is soft, smooth seamless and subtle, making it a favorite in rotation... she truly despises the gore.
Understandable. So we've been on the hunt for a plunge version with racerback option which came up a size small, but seemed as though it might be somewhat forgiving, being more open in the center and better suited to a very small frame. One finally turned up. In a favorite color combination, new and unused! It works! It's filling all the needs, and checking all the boxes! For a super hard to fit combo of upper full, ...close set and short bustline! Hallelujah. Back to regular life forgetting about boobs, right?
However. This is where it all goes off the rails
You see. There were... Problems.
For even with a perfect fit you can never 'have it all'. Or, as kid affectionately calls this, 'The Bra Made From Chainsaw Blades' .
Week 1. Total obsession. Glee. Some occasional hunching, and asking me for gift tape. I think nothing of this whatsoever, who hasn't felt the joy of not being stabbed in the sternum? Week 2. Admitting defeat is the first step to redemption, but this might be a premature tactic for some. Deco plunge shows up on my sewing machine, I'm asked later whether the 'itchy strip of interfacing' sewn inside, where the band and wing join, can be removed. "It's kind of pokey". I gently say that I can pick that off but it might take some time to find a replacement strip of material to serve the same purpose- Deco Plunge might not be available for awhile. Bra leaves the machine zone, and vanishes back into the Void. Week 3. Kid is going braless. This has never happened, and would never happen, but I say nothing and go about my business. Huh, we're running low on bandaids. I just restocked with what seemed like a lifetime supply? Also we've run out of mini pads, during a non menses time of the month. Adding items to shopping list. Week 4. The Reveal. I'm approached with a morbid and uncharacteristic admission that I Might Be Needed To Examine Something. Expecting another tarantula hiding under the bed or maybe a stray cat in a closet, mental assessment of carriers and exterminators come to mind. No, just pulling up a hoodie to show 5 or 6" of what looks like a bloody raw series of tiny knife wounds, running from just behind my kid's armpits toward her spine.
We fetch the medical kit and sanitize this bizarre pair of deep welts while I apologize profusely for how painful the whole process is, and realize on very close inspection that this is not really chaffing, it's many series of tiny stabs. Kiddo explains that she can't wear anything because it hurts so much, and honestly I can't really imagine any kind of heat rash or boobsweat situation that compares. It finally hits me. "Hey, so what ended up happening with that aqua deco you had?" Silence, leaving, and returning with the offending item. On close inspection, it's not the sheer vertical strip that itched... it turns out that the bands sewn horizontally along the side are some kind of cheapo antiroll elastic that becomes razorlike when pulled slightly, and has rows of stiff reinforcing rubber pointing at the sharp edge.
I've never seen a half inch lingerie elastic so rough or stiff, but I guess there's a first time for everything. Someone clearly thought, 'Oh well the color matches and it has pretty loops so it should be fine'.
It was not fine. Luckily Jennifer Fairbanks sent me some of her ultra soft bramaking elastic which saved this Deco from the trash, my girl is on the mend but still scarred, and we've all learned valuable lessons about being extremely nitpicky about textiles. Read more 562 more words
The gore folds in half (hot dog style) on the top. It's honestly something I've never seen. Kinda handy for someone like me who can't work with a gore that goes up this high, but it's definitely not supposed to do this. These cups don't have enough projection for me. It's creating a fold-over of my tissue on the outside of the bra. The fabric is a bit on the rough side. I don't imagine it wears well over time. Seems like the whole outer layer is made of the stretch lace found on the top of Elomi bras. Looks really cute, though. I love the ...bright color options. I do wish the straps were the same color. The "color ways" for this style are odd in that the straps are so very different than the cute colors of the bra itself. The wires on this are too wide for me. They go way back into my armpit. They're not insanely tall, at least, but they do go back incredibly far, so it's still not great. As far as this being a "side-support bra", it has the third vertical panel, but it's just a single layer of fabric, like the rest of the bra. Normally, especially in the large band/large cup range, side support bras have a second layer of fabric (usually more rigid) to actually SUPPORT the breast tissue on the side, to force it forward. This doesn't achieve that. In fact, it just kinda digs in along the seams of the panels. Read more 148 more words
The band fit but the cups were too shallow. I ordered the same bra in a 36K and basically flipped a coin on which "bad fit" I preferred. I went with the one that didn't quad boob.
SO. DAMN. ITCHY. I'm convinced I must have offended the bra gods in my past life, and as such am now personally victimized by this bra. The band, the straps, the damn underwire; it's all SO itchy. At first I thought it was just a bit worn down in some places, but after examining it I've realized even the "new looking" areas (aka no visible damage, loose threads, etc) itch like hell.
But even if it wasn't it's honestly unwearable for me due to the straps and underwire digging into my armpits. I didn't even know I had armpit fat, but I sure as hell do now. For the record, I am quite slim and petite, so I don't think this is a matter of excess weight. If you have narrow shoulders/a small frame (aka straps tend to slide off), BEWARE. Also NOT for bottom full/narrow root bitties. Visibly gapes on the top (but good fit on bottom).
Basic nude bra otherwise. Fine for everyday but does make me feel like a grandma.
Love the style, but the cups are way too small and probably too shallow for my shape (not good for full-on bottom shapes I think). Compared to the Deco Moulded plunge the cups are probably a cup or two off even if they are the "same" size. Boobs spill out over the top and around the sides of the bra.
For a 28 band it is on the very snug side, but not uncomfortable.
Fits really well and snug. Cups are filled out well and band is nice and tight. Fits a little snugger than the sister size 30E, but still very comfortable. The cups are filled slightly more than sister size 30E, but are not spilling over.
This band is, unfortunately, too small for me. I suppose I could use an extender for this, since the cups are honestly pretty decent for the amount of projection I have, but the straps are already too wide for me and have to be cranked down almost all the way. The strap fabric is somehow insanely soft to the touch, but very uncomfortable to wear. I think this is wholly to do with the straps being cranked down so much. The wires are also too wide for me and I've managed to finally find proof that I do need more narrow wires. I was starting to doubt myself ...after dozens of bras pushed my breast tissue out to the sides so much that it filled out the sides of the cup anyway. Finally, the lace material is uncomfortable at best. I can't imagine sweating in this bra all summer. I'll have to pass on this one. Kind of a bummer overall. The colorways for this bra are so cute. Some of them have odd strap color choices, and I'm not sure why they paired a weird purplish gray with this cute pink, but hey, I was prepared to keep it if it worked for me, so I guess it wasn't an odd enough color combo to scare me away. This bra is so beautiful. I love everything about it but the fit. I bought the wrong size thinking that I only need to go up one cup without measuring myself. Cut off tags and well it’s just a bra I’m gonna make work cause that’s just me. I definitely am gonna get at least one more in the proper size.
