First off, this is a lounge bra. I didn't buy it expecting a perfect fit or anything. It is a bralette to wear around the house comfortably. And boy, was I stunned at how well it truly fits! I put this on the last hooks and scoop/swooped and let everything settle in. I'd say after 6+ hours of wear it's extremely comfortable and didn't pull on my shoulders much like I was expecting. The band was taking most of the weight much to my shock even though the cups are very stretchy and the straps themselves aren't adjustable. The cups did cut a bit over my breast tissue ...from the middle but it didn't leave any marks, didn't feel a thing. The straps were soft and stretchy and didn't sit too far on my shoulders and were rather narrow, which I prefer. The cups didn't sit too far into my armpits and the wings sit pretty nicely into my sides. I didn't have to adjust much at all. The fabric is sooo soft and smooth, and felt very breathable. I didn't sweat much at all during the wear. Overall I felt this bralette will work perfectly for my at home (and sometimes even a grocery store run) plans. Read more 100 more words
I love this pink color! I will be reordering a cup size up however as the upper stretch lace ended up cutting into me. It seems to run a bit smaller than you would expect for a FF.
This bra is really pretty, but it doesn't provide much support to the pendulous. The side wings are also short, on me that meant a lot of overflow. The gore was veerry stabby, though that might be more of a fit issue. The straps are fully adjustable, so that's nice.
Summary: A pretty bra in good quality materials with lots of depth at the wire. It fits large and stretchy in both band and cup: I would recommend sizing down 1-2 band sizes and possibly one cup letter size (1-2 cup volumes.)
Appearance/Materials: I received this bra immediately after reviewing the 38GG - Cleo » Valentina Plunge Bra (10486) . On the surface, they're pretty similar: sheer, bright pink bras in dainty fabrics. Offbeat is made of stretch lace in the cups and part of the band, with a heavy swimwear-type spandex for the back. The lower half of the cups is lined with nonstretch mesh, leaving the top ...a little stretchy for FOT shapes. The band itself is very stretchy: this is nominally a 34, but I could stretch it to 38 if I was willing to pull a little harder.
This bra has coated metal hardware and wide, soft straps in a contrasting bright red. There's a tiny red ribbon between the cups, tacked down with a silver stud - it's not quite a bow. The wire is very firm, in a wide U-shape with a slightly flattened bottom. It does not splay under the arm, though it can be deformed slightly outward.
Freya seems to be using the same wire for multiple sizes, and in the 34HH, that means there's an inch of unfilled channel under the arm. This works terribly for me, since I have a lot of tissue there, but could be helpful if you usually experience wire-poking. Compared to my usual Cleos, this bra uses much higher-quality materials, though I worry about them stretching out too quickly.
Shape/Construction: I've been looking for a bra with a wide wire and enough immediate depth to stop the cups from slowly riding down and pinching - the Offbeat does this very well. It has a very "forward" shape that prevents the width of my breasts from getting in the way of my arm. Unfortunately, this isn't quite the right shape for me, so I have some fluff escaping under the arm and along the top of the cup. I may try a 34J, if the cup height doesn't increase too much.
The general shape is a standard balconette, with the side-support power bar cleverly built into the design. The materials are plush, rather soft, and much less flimsy-feeling than some cheaper brands. The band is rather tall, and the bottom tends to roll up in the back. This might not happen if you are thinner or less squishy.
Fit: Me - wide roots with "faux-omega" indentation that makes them look narrow/projected. I need a deep cup, with a lot of that depth right at the wire. Normally, I wear Cleo or Panache, but achey, bruisey feelings sent me looking for something with a different wire. The Offbeat is *almost* right. Unfortunately, the cup doesn't quite have enough volume, and there is a lot of weight on my shoulders, so the search continues. Read more 383 more words
It fit me well, and the pale pink color with light dots worked fine under light-coloured shirts. Downside was the underwire started to lose its shape so I was always adjusting it. The material is a bit scratchy at times, but at least breathable.
I ordered this bra to try on but I'll be sending it back. I'm not sure if the cups were too small or maybe not projected enough for me, but the band pulled and the wires seemed to be punching into my ribs underneath the cups in a very uncomfortable way. I did like the way the cups went far enough to the sides that it seemed to actually hold in all my side boob without cutting into it (I have fairly wide roots). But it was painful to wear so I can't keep it.
Really pretty! However, I constantly have double boob issues in one cup. The straps also sit a bit high on the neck, even tightening them down doesn't really seem to help.
I got this bra secondhand to help me figure out my new shape/style preferences after breast augmentation. I got it in a 30DD and while it fits, it's not as snug as I would like in the band. The gore also hits me a little high. I have a pretty small frame, though, so the gore distance and height is going to be an ongoing issue, I'm sure. It's comfortable enough to wear all day, though (keep in mind my breasts are implants and I do not need much support. This bra would be more uncomfortable if it had to do any amount of work to hold up my breasts, as the straps would take on the load) and it is cute. It's thin but does a decent job concealing hard nipples.
My absolute favorite bra. I am deeply saddened that it is no longer available. The models described as being like it from other brands just aren't the same. This bra gave my naturally pointy shape just enough roundness without being flattened in front. The wires were wide enough to encapsulate all of my tissue. The cups short enough to give me cakes on a plate and not show under my clothing. And I like shirts with a lot of decolletage so that's saying something. The band and wires and fabric were comfortable. The fabric made me feel cute. I love this bra so much.
This bra is marked as fitting for me, but it just doesn't. It doesn't provide the lift and support and shape I want, and it feels like it's not providing the right coverage on the sides for me. The shape is not for me, I think the side support makes the sides of my breasts flat, turning them into triangle shapes from above, which I do not like looking down at.
Works very well for people who can fit closed on top shapes. I ordered one size up and no major issues besides a small empty space in front of my nipple. I am close set and projected and this worked okay. The gore is too separate for me but not uncomfortable and the cup buckles right next to the wire, but does not matter too me.
This bra fits, but isn't comfortable after long wears. My biggest complaint is that the gore digs into my breast tissue, sometimes making it unwearable. I also feel like the bra itself is too narrow, even though it looks like a good technical fit. I have to adjust it throughout the day.
Love the way this bra looks and the material is surprisingly comfortable - the problem is that after a little while of wearing it, it starts to get uncomfortably tight. I've been wondering if I should've sized up to a 34 in the band? The gore also digs into my chest.
Fabric stiff and rough compared to Freya Expressions high apex bra, and also sheer (nipples fairly visible). Wires (and maybe cups) seem to be the wrong shape - I can't quite get them up into the IMF and bottom of cups are wrinkly.
