This is the first bra I bought after realising that I have been wearing the wrong size for years. I am surprised how well the DD cups fit. I think this is the closest to a perfect fit I've ever been, but at the moment I am quite picky, because I am trying to find THE perfect one.
Unfortunately the band seems to be too tight for me. 60 (or UK 28) was what I got, when I used an online calculator. The Bratabase calculator actually recommends 65 (or UK 30). I ordered 65D (30D) and I can't wait to see, if it fits better.
I am probably wrong, but I THINK I'm shallow, average root width, and even/FOB. This is the most comfortable bra ever, you can barely feel it when it's on. The band is a tad loose even on the second (of two) hooks, but it doesn't slide up due to the band being so thick. I may have to alter it down after it stretches out more, but that isn't a problem. The wires are about 1" too wide on the sides, but it isn't uncomfortable and it doesn't seem to interfere with the fit. It does expect more upper fullness than I have, which results in a bit of gapping, but it's hardly noticable. The straps are very stretchy but they adjust fully so it isn't a problem. All in all I'm very happy!
I am so aggravated with Freya bras by now, I may never try another one -- especially the Deco line. Truth is, I gave up on Freya long ago but then I stupidly fell hard for this one with its leopard print and neon bows... This is my 2nd try at the Rebel design (first one was a 28D - Freya » Deco Rebel Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) ) and the cups are way too shallow on the bottom, still. I understand why the design is this way -- they are trying to create a pushed-up cleavage look without thick lower padding. The paradox is, it doesn't work unless you *already* are fuller on top, in which case you probably don't really need much pushing up anyway (because you already have it naturally...get it?). For information's sake I measured this one anyway but didn't bother with photos as it looks identical to my previous one.
This is the most comfortable bra I own. I can sleep in it and forget I have it on! With my small size it's difficult to find non-padded bras, which I find more comfortable. Marvel is shaped a bit like the Deco half cuts, in that it's great for moving my boobs from sides to front and center. Marvel has excellent support, and it's very soft, but sturdy. It doesn't itch or scratch anywhere, or leave deep marks. It's smooth under clothing, and it's cool in hot weather.
I was so excited to get this bra in the mail from Amazon. I just joined and this was recommended. It's a very nice looking bra, however it's soooo uncomfortable. The band, even on the last hook is way too tight I can't even squeeze a finger underneath the band when I have it on. It left big red marks on my ribs and sternum. The gore and underwires dig in painfully too. The cups lie flat on my breasts as long as I have my shoulders back and the straps adjusted very snug, but if I slouch or bring my shoulders forward the cups gap at the top from a little to a lot depending on how far forward I put my shoulders/arms. Both the band and straps didn't have much stretch in them. I'd post pictures but it's too painful to put on again. I like the look of the bra and the materials, but it just doesn't fit correctly. Needless to say, I'll be sending this back to Amazon.
dont go by the recommendations alone, they are just suggestions based on an algorithm. Its sometimes helpful to put up a fit request and see if ppl with similar size/shape have advice.
thank you! I did put in a fit request I'm new to this community so I'm still figuring out what might fit and what to look for - I used to wear 32B, but I've never had a bra that fits me correctly, and when I googled about it I found this site and the sub-reddit - a bra that fits. I have a Natori Feathers on order and should arrive in a couple days. I'll post about it later this week. :)
Well, this mostly fit. However, the wires on this thing are quite uncomfortable, which is a puzzle, since they're not at all pokey in the 28D despite being basically the same.
The cup width of this is practically identical to the 28D. Which means that in 28DD, the bra is not very wide but still decently shallow. The wire really cut into my sides, and the gore pressed against my sternum. It was uncomfortable on both ends.
The cups were a tad too deep due to the width of the cup. I think bending the wires out would solve my fit problems. The cups were delightfully open on top, ...so no cutting in there.
The band is... large. Long. It was easy to hook on the tightest hook, so they're the typical infamous Freya stretchy band. Not very good for my 27" underbust.
The straps are fully adjustable and quite comfortable. I didn't find them too wide for me.
I'm not fond of the color or the price of this bra, so I'm returning it. However, the fit is good enough for me to keep an eye out for sales and new colors. It's quite good to have a viable unlined option for shallow, FOT breasts in my size range. Read more 102 more words
I wanted to love this bra since it's clearly well made and is the first I've bought in the size closest to my own. (26F/FF) The cups are very narrow and the band is big. The center gore lies flat, but is poking into the side of my breasts. The top of each cup gapes a little bit. Straps are the high point, they're very adjustable and comfortable.
This is a good fit for me, only when I want to wear a very low neckline. I wanted a bra that could keep my breast tissue out of my armpits, but this bra manages to push skin into my armpits. Maybe the cups are too shallow? Also, I NEED taller sides. After nursing 3 babies my breasts are like marshmallows. The underwires could be a bit longer; in which case they would help contain more of my side tissue, but, again, this works for when I need a "plunge" bra. In my small size, it's difficult to find this type of bra devoid of ...thick padding. The Deco does not provide the rounded-shaping of "front and center support" type bras, i.e. Panache Porcelain, but,it does enhance cleavage. Unfortunately all the Decos I've tried (except the half cups) have been the most uncormfortable bras I've ever owned. The cups are too tall for my short body, and I feel like I'm suffocating. My Deco is black, and I believe black fabric dyes are known for "shrinkage", so even before a wash this band was super tight. Contrary to other reviews, I find the band to be ridiculously firm. I bought a 28 band because I assumed Freya's 30 band would be too big, however, the 28 band slices into my skin. Read more 120 more words
i wear a 28D and am moderately shallow, slightly conical, and slightly wide. i am average set and even. has 3 rows of hooks for extra support. great bra for my shape, but it gaped on my bigger side. i ordered both the 28D and 28DD. this one did not fit as well as the 28D. you can read the review here:
I love padded half cups and this is no exception. So comfortable and I love how lifted it makes my boobs look. Perfect to wear under a tank top. I am definitely on the lookout for more Freya halfcups.
My 30D Deco bands seemed rather loose after a brief period (I like a snug fit and didn't realize when I first discovered Freya that the bands do stretch), so I gave this a try along with another 30D and decided to keep this one.
The first all-day wear (during a road trip...oops) was pretty uncomfortable; I ought to have gone for a breaking-in period! The band remains pretty snug, but this I actually like. That said, the top of the wire does poke into my left side a bit, to the point it's pretty uncomfortable by the end of the day. Maybe I'll try to bend it ...out? Also, my right girl tends to sort of slip back into the back my bras—sideboob, I guess?—but this is consistent with all bras for me, and is perhaps due to my scoliosis. The 28 band definitely makes this less of something to deal with than my 30 band bras, though, which is probably another reason I like the tighter fit.
This bra DOES give all kinds of oomph, which I definitely like, having pretty wide, full on bottom, and what I suspect are shallow breasts. I do occasionally feel as if the girls are going to spill out of the bra, but they never have, and my husband never seems to mind that effect, either. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> As someone who spent much of her life feeling inadequate and ugly after being given nothing but 32 and 34 Cs to swim in...I'm not going to complain about the cleavage. Ever!
This is probably my favourite bra, mostly because of the super-snug band (and the oomph). My next try will probably be a 28E, just to see if that helps with some of the poking and the migration during the day, and also because I'm sure tissue has been migrating back to where it belongs since I was introduced to the correct fitting method about 3 years ago. I am FOT with a tall root and tried the Deco plunge in 28DD to try to avoid the gaping I heard was common in this bra. It didn't work. I had tissue spillage on the side of the bra and was quadboobing where the strap meets the cup. (Deco plunge in my usual size, 28E, didn't work for me either. It was more than a size problem here, obviously.)
PROS Holy cleavage! This bra certainly makes the girls look good.
Nice and open cups, will accommodate even and FOT shapes well.
Lower cut than some plunges, which I prefer.
Due to the construction of the bra, I didn't fall out, even though I have soft centerfull breasts.
CONS Super narrow! I'm on the narrowish side, but this was the most painful bra I've ever worn. The outer wires dug in awfully.
Both the band and cups run large.
CONCLUSION This is a great cleavage bra, but only for the super narrow Even-FOT shapes, FOB's probably won't fit this well. Runs large all over, so if you would normally wear a 30DD, for instance, order a 28DD.
