So yeah, me and unlined Freya bras, we don't get on so well.
This one sits too low on my chest, below my IMF. Along with the empty space this causes at the bottom of the cups, there's also a lot of bagginess in the lace at the top of the cups near the straps. It's also much too wide, which surprises me as I've always heard Freya bras are pretty narrow. It gives me very little shape and support, and I kind of feel like my boobs are swimming in the abyss when wearing this bra. I did wonder whether going down a size might improve it, but I don't think it's a close enough fit to be worth the effort - I think it's just a shape mismatch.
Surprisingly then, I'm planning to return it. However I'm sure it would look very pretty on someone it actually fits, as it's a nicely made bra.
This is the first bra that has fit on both sides! I would say I'm fairly even and have average projection and it pokes slightly under the armpit but not too bad. I find the underwires to be an excellent width but I'm not sure if I'm considered narrow (I don't look it but wide bras go to my back almost).
No gaping like on the nude deco! Nice and tight band and... I think the gore is okay as well, plus it seemed to look weird under a shirt. I'll have to wear it around the house a few more times before I decide. That being said: I LOVE the color!
This bra fits almost perfectly. There is a little bit of gaping on my smaller boob. I wore it all day yesterday, and the longline feels a little strange at first. After I got used to it, I really liked it. I haven't had an issue with the longline rolling up in the front like other reviewers mentioned. The part where the strap connects at the back was kind of uncomfortable on one side, but I'm hoping that will go away after a couple of washes.
EDIT: It became more comfortable as it got washed and broken in. The strap issue is gone. The front of the longline does roll up on me now when I bend forward, but it's not that big of an issue for me. I still like this bra.
I've heard the Deco runs large in the cups, but for me my normal size of 28DD seems to fit best. Pros: the bra feels supportive, and it's one of the first bras I've tried where the wires are narrow enough. It looks and feels like very good quality and it's a pretty colour. However, after wearing it for a day I found it was riding down slightly and was uncomfortable around the gore - I think this is because the gore rests slightly on breast tissue as it's a bit too wide for me (I'm close-set and full in the centre, so I get this with a lot of bras). I also agree with the other reviewer who said it can feel a little straitjacket-like, rather than being gently supporting and uplifting! Aside from these problems it's a decent fit and gives me quite a nice shape under clothes (even if it's not quite as cleavagey as the too-small 28D!).
I was super disappointed when this bra didn't fit. I seriously love the print and so did my boyfriend.. It cuts into me on top and I can't quite fill the middle of the cup.
Originally got this bra to try on amazon. Loved it, so I decided to go for a used one since the band was pretty tight. When I got the used one, and it fits much differently than the one I bought from amazon. This bra would be go for someone with more upper fullness than I have. It's still a great bra for cleavage though, I wish I could make it work.
Yet another unpadded bra that has failed me. Same weird stretching of the fabric/cutting into my side boobage. I also can't fill out the top. Fail all around.
I thought this bra might be the answer to my strapless prayers. The wires are still too long though! The wires are also too wide and slightly too far apart int the center. UHG! This bra does what all other strapless bras do - make my boobs disappear! Here's a hint: If I'm buying a strapless bra, I probably want to show the ladies off a little bit. That means lower wires in the center! Maybe in larger sizes this bra works, but for me... sooo not what I'm looking for in a strapless bra. (Sorry for the mini rant)
Have you tried Gossard? Their strapless bras are usually sexier.
I haven't, I keep eying them but haven't found anywhere that I could return them. Asos hasn't had any in my size for a while and the ones on Amazon aren't returnable. I have a hard time justifying an $80 purchase if I don't know if they will work for me.
animated Have you checked out Nordstrom online or figleaves.com, bouxavenue, headroom... there's quite a few websites out there with free returns. Also, while looking on Amazon, choose the filter that is shipped by/sold by Amazon. They are all returnable.
Really wanted a smooth cup bra, however this gaped too much at the top. I'm not sure if it's just too tall/shallow? Or if I should try to size down a cup. Like the sturdy straps, though they might be a little a little too wide set for me.
Did you accidentally mix up the measurements for the 28D & 28DD? You have the 28D listed as having a Cup Width of 4.3" & a Cup Depth of 6.8", but your 28DD is listed here as C.W of 4.1" & C.D of 6.6". Which is in all reality a pretty small difference, but I would have expected the 28DD to be larger than the 28D, not the other way around.
Runs small and is quite tight. I think I would try this in a 28E to see if my shape issues were only because of the size. It has a very retro feel to it and would look great peaking through clothing.
The bra is a cup size too big for me, but it fits really comfortably. The underwires don't dig in at all, and the straps are fully adjustable, so they're also comfortable. It has some little details which are quite cute.
This bra is so very cute. I love the polka dots. As per usual with Freya's, the band really does run large. I can comfortably hook this bra on the second hooks. The cups gap on me a little at the top, but no enough to size down I think. The brocade trim at the top of the cups is a little problematic as it shows through any clothes that are even remotely close-fitting.
This is an amazing bra. None of the gaping issues I have with the regular deco, and much cuter. I'm shocked it works so well on my FoB shallow breasts. As usual with Freya the wires are very narrow, which is great for me, they're perfect for my shape in that respect.
The band is tight, but not tight enough to justify getting a larger band – I'd just have to suffer the first few wears until it stretched enough. Freya seems to make their 28 bands less stretchy and thus tighter than all the other bands I've been satisfied with.
Furthermore, while the cups are deep enough, they're also cut as if I had almost a full size more of tissue on my upper breasts. Maybe a good fit for top heavy girls, but not my very-rounded ones. Tightening the straps (they adjust fully) helps considerably, but that's 1) painful, 2) doesn't make a difference when moving, 3) still not perfect.
Also, the straps are EXTREMELY wide. Like, ridiculously and unnecessarily wide. Which is terrible on my small frame. And the band is oddly wide/tall too, almost enough for a third hook, which is odd. Overall, I won't be bothering trying another size because I think the cut and shape of the bra is completely wrong for me (and I hate those straps). It has been returned.
In my quest for a new sports bra, this one was unfortunately a definite failure for me. There were aspects of it I really liked - the fabric is adorable and felt nice, and the band felt nice. For someone with the right shape, I'd absolutely suggest this as a good option.
However, it's definitely not the right shape for me. To start with, as I found with the Deco half-cup, it's too shallow for me. There's too much fabric under the arms, and the tops of the cups gap even with tightening up the straps a bit to compensate. Additionally, the wires wouldn't lie nicely despite plenty of swooping and scooping, usually trying to ride up a bit (again, too projected for the cups) and cutting into my sternum if I tried to get the fabric to lie nicely toward the top.
One of the most comfortable bra I've every tried! The cups are definitely too big for me. I want to try a cup size smaller in this same cut because I think it would be a great t-shirt bra. Stretchy band and NO UNDERWIRE! It's like a miracle for my boobs! Unfortunately, the cups are just overall too big. I'd love to trade someone for something similar in a smaller size!
Really nice everyday type bra. If I filled the top of the cup a little bit more, I would definitely keep this bra. I wrinkles on the top though, so I won't be keeping it. It is not at all stretched out even though it has had a previous owner before me. It presses a little bit into my sternum, but not very much. The band is slightly too tight, but also, not very much!
