    Hasn't set fit

I have owned this bra for a couple of years now and it's still holding strong. A beautiful sheer appearance but practical enough to wear everyday. Good quality for the purchase price, I put only "Good" for comfort as the wires sometimes poke me on the side but they may be slightly too narrow for me.

The shape is a little "pointy", which I don't mind, but this is not for someone looking for a round shape. I would say it fits true to size. The band is a little loose - at least compared to brands like Ewa Michalak and Fraulein Annie - and I wear it on ... tightest hooks. It hasn't stretched much during the time I have owned it.

I would say the wires are on the narrow side and cups are deep. As I don't have a lot of upper breast fullness there is a little empty space there but not as much as it would bother me. On the other hand the center of the bra does not stretch and it cuts a little on my breast. A little note about the straps - I feel they are unnecessary wide for my size.

This bra seems to be a better fit for me than some. It's not molded, but there's just a very slight amount of padding—mostly for modesty's sake, it seems to me, and a little bit of shaping. Despite my affection for molded cups, I really like this one. It is pretty (YAY!), comfortable (strangely enough, this is my second 'Yay', not my first...hm...), and...well, it's comfortable.

I only wonder if I do need an...gosh, is the F cup next? As you can see from the top-down shot, with the circle, the cup on one side is not big enough. Now, that is the side of my scoliosis S-curve, and I'm thinking that may be the issue...there's an ever-so-slight bulge above the cups, but that's really only if I throw my shoulders back. I may keep it.

I love the look of these bras, but they just aren't for me... They always poke my sternum and I can't never quite fill the cup all the way to the top.

I really like this bra. Half cups seem to work great on me. It gives me a nice lifted look that I love. I think a 28F would fit me better, but this one is wearable. Very slight quadboobage.

I think this is the right size, but this is a bit more plunge (think cleavage) than I normally like. I will keep it for those rare times when I am going for that look. A little stiff for my tastes, but well made and reasonably comfortable.

Oh, the t-shirt bra quest. It will never end.
I tried this bra in 28E, my usual size, believing my FOT-ness and tall root would prevent me from experiencing the gaping many experience with this bra.
    No such luck.
The wires were perfect--slightly wider than my Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) in 28E, which is slightly too wide for me.
But the cups were clearly too large, with an unforgivable amount of gaping at the top.
(Sizing down to 28DD didn't help. It's clearly a shape and not just size issue with this sucker.)

  8. Retro Basic (3411)

Tried this in a 28DD when I first started and it was far too small, now my only complaint it that that band is very stiff and that the straps are too far apart. May keep it, but also might sell it cheap as the tag is basically gone.

I have the black and red bra. It is very pretty. It is sheer. I never have any luck with Curvy Kate or Freya soft cups. They are always a disaster on me. I really want to find this bra a good home. It's so pretty. Sheer, black and red.

This is the first bra I've got in my "real" measured size. I'm really disappointed that the cups are such a poor fit. Especially since 28Es are so hard to find. As I'm new to the game, I'm not sure if this is a shape incompatibility or a size mismeasure, or if this bra simply runs large.

It could very well be a shape mismatch. I feel like Freya plunges are really narrow and the cups are close set while the half cup bras are really shallow and the wires too wide.

    • Thanks for the feedback! I have two Freya longlines that actually fit well in 30e no less, so it could very well be a plunge vs half cup issue. I will keep this in mind when shipping for Freya again :-)

    • This bra IS fairly narrow, It's for FoT shapes and is not forgiving at all. Just by you saying this bra doesn't work, I'd suggest even/FoB shapes for you and possibly wider wires. A Cleo Juna or Maddie in 28F (they run small) would be good to try as well as Parfait Charlotte in 30DD (runs tight).
You might want to try an unlined Freya in 28E (Lauren cut and clones)... and maybe an unlined Curvy Kate in 28E but only if you can find them at a place that's returnable. Amazon is a great place for that because they have free returns if you buy from them as a seller.

    • I just wanted to say thanks, animated! I got the Cleo Maddie and I love the fit. I will continue to search for your other recs :)

    • Oh, that's great news! I'd try the Parfait Charlotte next if the Maddie was a good fit!

It's nice and tight, but at least a size too big and probably too shallow for my shape. The gore pokes, but it's not unbearable.

This bra is not the right size for me, so I can't adequately review its fit. Some observations: the wires are narrow; the straps are thick and soft. I love the look of sheer black interlaced with red.

This bra came to me used, but still with quite a bit of life left in it. Unfortunately, the band is too large for me (I need closer to a 26" band...) and the cups don't suit my projected FOB shape. I knew it probably wouldn't work going in, but I was hoping it could be my super-cleavage bra, but unfortunately, the straps are too wide-set and I get lots of gapping across the top of the cup.

The flamingo print is adorable, and the matching peach-ish colored straps and elastic make me really wish this fit!

This bra used to be too tight when I first bought it (I had to get a stretcher band), but it has since stretched out and is comfortable to wear, and stays on under strapless tops and dresses.

The only real problem I have with it now is that where the straps attach the padding underneath the surface fabric has ripped, I imagine because of the pull of the straps. It's fine to wear strapless, but it looks off when worn with straps.

I really have to hand it to Freya for winning me over this season. Very few of their fashion designs have appealed to me in the past, but this season is full of bras I will be tempted to buy... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I could not resist this unique design. Ignite was an especially crazy impulse buy because my last experience with the plunge balcony cut (Flourish) was disastrous. This time around, I tried it in my regular 28E and I think it fits beautifully!

The band is surprisingly true to size for a Freya. The straps are fully adjustable. The cup depth feels true ... to size. The stretch lace top portion sometimes puckers a little on my soft, full-on-top breasts, but it's nothing that shows through clothing. And no, it doesn't look pointy! Granted, it's no Cleo Marcie level of roundedness, but it's a lovely "natural round" shape that I find very flattering. The wires are soft, which might be a problem for women with larger breasts but for me it just adds to the comfort of the bra. Indeed, this is one of my most comfortable bras now along with the Panache sport.

    A shape incompatibility for me.
The plunge style is disastrous. As far as I can tell, my upper fullness doesn't let the fabric sit right: it pushes the cup away from my body, making it wrinkle and gape where the lace meets the fabric. It makes it seem like the bra is too deep for me, although I am not that shallow.
I also experience a weird gapping on the side of the cup, right above where the band meets the wire.

Bra just did not fit me at all, so I only really can review from when I tried on. I have an Ellis in a 28DD that is too small, so a 28E SHOULD fit me well... However, the cup was way too large for me. I think it may just be for someone really projected. The 30DDs I got in other bras fit me, so it isn't just that the cup is too large in general. But I had a lot of extra material wrinkling all over the cup that there is no way I could fit. I heard the band was particularly stretchy (so most went down in band as a sister-size), but I wonder if I should have gone down a cup size or something...?

I have this in the Topaz colourway, and it is the most loose 28 band I've ever tried. It runs like a true 30 band. I immediately had to wear this on the tightest hooks for my 26 inch underbust :/
The colour of the Topaz colourway is more like a Tiffany blue, not a bright green as stock photos suggest. I don't know why they do this- they colour is gorgeous as it is! Unfortunately it doesn't look so good on me since I have warm undertones in my skin, but I'd imagine that it would look awesome on somebody with cooler undertones or tanned skin!
The cups fit ... like a standard Deco: tall and very open on top. Size down from your regular size as usual. I had gaping in this until I altered this down to a 26, and now it fits me perfectly.
This colourway does have a new lining at the top, but in my opinion it doesn't really improve the fit, at least in the Honey bra. In my Deco Delight, it definitely did. I do have to say though, it really helps prevent the unsightly Deco cup curling.

This is a really sexy bra, and while I don't like sheer/unpadded/unlined bras, this one is kind of an exception.
The cups are a strong mini mesh like thing, that prevents nipple show through. It would be even better for someone whose full on bottom with narrow boobs so that their nipple meets at the seams, but it works even without nipples meeting there.

The cups are slightly the wrong shape for me - too deep and closed off at top, but this isn't terribly noticeable as its only slight. I wish the gore was narrower, and cups wider because I'm not sure how much of my tissue will stay in after scooping it all in.

I'm not crazy about the shape it gives me, but it is quite natural and forward. The embroidery might show through shirts.

The band is unusual for Freya, it's quite firm for a 28 in my opinion.

Overall this is a nice bra. It would suit someone better whose probably full on bottom a bit with narrow boobs.
