I'm somehow surprised that this bra is not more popular, because it has quite a few nice features. It's quite practical for something looking so delicate. The shape it gives is round and very minimised - it does not bring the tissue front and center, but rather it creates a more splayed shape. This does create a wider silhouette from the front but a flatter one from the side. I actually enjoy wearing it under a swing dress or a looser or more flowy top. However, it seems to have enough immediate projection to work for me, despite being overall minimising. One potential fit issue could be the ...gore. It's on the wider side, but because it's also quite low, that somehow works better. The wires are quite flexible but they are still supportive (not as soft as Elomi wires for example). Speaking of wires, I like the way in which they are attached to the cup, as they are completely on the inside of the cup and the cup fabric wraps around them (it's easiler to see in the pictures..). This makes the cup design look more minimalistic. My only comfort issue at the beginning was an unusual one. The tops of the wire channels under the arm were somehow rough. It wasn't the wire that was bothering me, only the stiff fabric on the edge of the wires. Fortunately it softened after a couple of wears and washes. Regarding sizing, the cups are quite generous so it can be possible to size down. Read more 146 more words
This bra was a complete shape mismatch on me but it's super pretty. I think it would be great for shallow breasts or breasts with tall roots. Despite not fitting me right at all it was overall very comfortable and it's lined so there isn't any scratchy fabric against your skin.
Be aware that the band is extremely stretchy, I would need to go down to a 28 band in a perfect world. I usually wear a 30GG and I think the 30G fits fairly well, so it probably runs slightly larger in the cup. I really like this bra! It's unique! It has the honor of having the smoothest outline under clothes EVER on any bra I've tried so far. The upper seam does not even show. Amazing! There is a lot of nipplage going on however, so you might want to wear this with pasties. Comfort is pretty good, but because of the thin band I feel the straps more than I usually do with bras that have thicker bands. I also think this is because the band size was too loose on me.
The wires were super flimsy. It was definitely too closed on top for me and the wires were too narrow, and the gore was too wide and a tad bit too tall.
I bought this one at a bra-fitting shop and I honestly don't know how they let me go with it.
Cups are molded, color is a bit orange-ish, nice little bow with a golden G letter between cups. It is soft on the inside and silky outside, great for seethrough blouses.
Normally I prefer full-cup or balconette but this time I needed a t-shirt bra. I still wear it, it doesn't look so awful under clothing, plus it gives kind of a sexy look because of an edge barely visible through clothes. The only apparent issue is a slight bulge over a cup edge on the right boob appearing after ...an hour of wearing, my boobs are a bit asymmetrical. I am 80H in European sizes and most conversion charts tell that 80H equals to 36FF but I feel that it is incorrect, it should be 36GG. This bra proves it.
Overall, cups are too close for me and a bit empty at the top, and the band doesn't adhere completely. Still, straps are in place, underwires do not poke. Next time I'd go one cup size up with this bra. Read more 81 more words
I believe this bra is the same model as the egoboost strapless bras. It has a large amount of padding in the bottom of the cups, which causes my FOB to push the bra down when worn strapless. Also like many gossard bras the band is extremely firm (more like a 28 or tighter). This works for me as I prefer a tighter band for strapless bras and I wear 28s usually. Just make sure you size up!
Overall the aesthetics of the bra is beautiful but unfortunately I'll be sending back (due to size and damage that I don't believe affects fit).
I fill the cups very well. This bra is very pretty, but the gore is way to high for me and dug in harshly after a few hours of wear and found the straps to be annoying.
This bra is so beautiful. It was transferred to me from flija in very good used condition. I have quite a round profile normally because I'm center full and quite east/west, so I wanted to try a bra that gives a pointier look! Unfortunately the 30FF is just too small for me, but I do get a pointier profile and I love the colours and the design.
This is not a bra for wearing under t-shirts - the horizontal seam where the padded bottom half meets the mesh upper half is pretty defined under a t-shirt. But I think it will look great with more ...structured tops where the seam is less obvious. The mesh upper cup has two layers of mesh - the top layer has very subtle polka dot pattern. The construction of the bra is overall very good, but the top layer of mesh was sewn on much more loosely than the underlayer - it puckers a little at the corners, even though I am more than filling out the underlayer and the bra is actually too small for me. I am going to cut off the upper layer to see if that improves the look on me, and will post photos of the alteration later. The cups are quite closed on top, I am FOT and I have some trouble with them, so this design might be better suited to FOB shapes. But....it's beautiful! I love red and pink together and I am going to try and track down a 30G. Read more 151 more words
This bra's measurements have been altered
removed the upper layer of mesh from the top half of the cup (there are two layers)
This is such a lovely bra! I usually wear 28F(/FF) and the fit is good, except for the band length - I had to shorten it. My other complaint is that the closing hook at the back hurt my back! It started pressing painfully after a couple of hours but I fixed that, I sewed some additional soft fabric to the closing https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
My boobs: wide+ tall root. I think it fits "as expected".
I love Gossard. It is the only brand that comes out as a true plunge on me. I would say this bra would work best for even shapes and average roots. However, I don't have any issues wearing it as a FOB. Unfortunately it's now too small, but I'm keeping it until I can get my hands on a 30DD (it's the only bra to plunge low enough for my favourite dress https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> )
The combo of fit + shape might be as close to perfect as I'll ever get. I have one tiny, tiiiiny quibble, which is that I wish there was just a hint less projection at the apex. Just a hint. Ok, on to all the awesome:
Material: feels smooth as silk, breathes like air. I've seen some people say the material felt flimsy, but I think they must be comparing it to bras made of thicker material. AFAIK, there is no such thing as see-through fabric that feels thick. Instead, I'm pleasantly surprised by how strong this fabric feels, given that it's sheer. ...And soooo comfortable and light. My American South summers just got a lot more bearable.
Band: pleasantly stretchy. My experience so far is that 36s tend to start at 30 inches and stretch to about 35 (I can usually force them to 36, but then cup distortion starts creeping in). This one starts at 29 and stretches to 36 without distortion. Another pleasant surprise for me: it reduces my "rolls." The bottom edge of the band is nice and grippy, but the top edge of the band--which on most bras squeezes me into some serious rollage--has a bit of extra, different fabric that seems to spread out the tension and mitigate that squeezing. Kind of like how you're supposed to spread-eagle when pulling someone out of a frozen lake. See pics if this description isn't making sense https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> 3/4 inch spacing between hooks (if you're considering using an extender).
Wires: Pretty firm, U-shaped. A good width and height for me (slightly narrow, short).
Gore: Lays flat on me, short but not super-short. The tops of the wires dig in a little after an hour or so of wear, so I'll probably bend them out a little.
Cups: Flexible and stretchy, while still providing support and a nice rounded shape. This is the first unlined bra I've tried that offers enough room to accommodate my outer fullness; other unlined bras have flattened the outside of my boobs, so that when I look down at them, they look like /)(\.
Straps: Not very wide, stretchy but firm. Fully adjustable. They attach to the cup a little further from my arms than most other bras, which I love. Read more 283 more words
UK 36DD. No review and no pics, since this one is clearly too big in the cups and a 36D is coming in the mail tomorrow. I'll review and photograph that one instead. I just decided to add this one's measurements for the benefit of other users. Sorry for leaving out the stretched band measurement; I'm definitely returning it so didn't want to risk damaging it. I will say, though, that the band feels neither particularly stretchy nor particularly firm for a 36.
Oh so nice! Kind of a vintage vibe, very sexy - both in style, cut and lace. Band is comfortably snug and firm, I feel supported, and I like the one-hook closure on the back. It's killing me that it's probably too big for me. Right after the scoop and swoop things were gorgeous, but after a few minutes it's clear I've got all kinds of places to go. Makes me sad! P.S. This colorway even sexier than the black! P.P.S. Clearly too small in a 30DD. I think the problem is that there's not enough projection where I need it.
Not sure if I want to keep this one. The band is very stretchy and since it's used, maybe stretched out more than what it would be new. The wires are so bendy. The lace at the top of the cups won't stay flat under shirts. Very light support.
The band of this bra is way too small. The cups are rather low and cut in a little, even though it's not very visible, it bothers me. Maybe this is because the band is too tight, but taller cups would probably have worked better. The cups look like they are the right volume, but I may have an orange in a glass effect, as the bottom does show some wrinkles. The wires seem rather wide, not sure if this is because they are pulled outwards by the too short band. I like the fabric of this bra, the side panels, and the look, but it just doesn't work well with my breasts. I'm going to try this with an extender (which will be half the price of what I payed for this bra on Amazon). If it works, I might replace the wires, as the gore is poking me too much. As I got this so cheap I'll probably tinker with it a little before I give up.
This is a wearable strapless bra, a first for me. Others said the band was quite tight, but I didn't find that. It is tight but I can still wear it normally and I'm a solid 30 band. The cup is big enough for my smaller side, but the larger side has a bit of a quadraboob effect (but this is often the case for me). The shape this bra gives me is okay. It doesn't give me insane cleavage, perhaps I'm wider-set than I thought. It doesn't fit me perfectly, the gore does not lie flat at all and there is some quadraboob, but overall it is a wearable strapless bra.
This is one of my favorites. There is nice detailing that went into this bra. The material is very soft, the hooks are gold with a tiny gold metal label attached. The back of the band is unusual. It only has two hooks and is an open "x" band. I took a risk on this bra because I didn't think I would have enough upper fullness to fill out the lace portion, but this one works well for me. It has plenty of projection for FoB. The gore is low. The band runs really really tight, but has loosened a tiny bit with repeated wear. If really tight bands are an issue, look at sizing up.
Very edgy/cool looking bra. Smooth surface, except for nipple show of course. Band is slightly too tight, but I hope that means it will last me longer. The underwires are too wide, which is common for me, hence I bended them a little.
EDIT: The band already is a lot less tight and I now wear it on the middle hook.
Rib pain....ugh. I know how that feels, too.
