This is another bra I tried out in my hunt for a strapless, and it's another bra that didn't work for me. I ordered it in a 30FF (I usually wear a 30FF or 28G depending on band tightness), and while the band fit fine, the cups felt much too large. They top of the cups rested nicely against my chest (the top is kind of closed), but I could definitely feel a lot of room at the top of the cups, some space in the center, and just a tiny bit of room at the bottom. I would have gone down a cup size and tried again, ...but I wasn't really a big fan of the natural/pointy-ish silhouette it gave me, so I didn't bother. In terms of construction and looks, though, it's a very pretty bra and seems well-made and sturdy. It could just be a shape mismatch for me (the cups were too large to tell, really), but I think I'd recommend anyway to try a cup size down from your regular size if you're going to give this one a shot. Thanks share I young these reviews your reviews, we measure about the same size 28G but feel comfortable in 30FF. I have a Gossard bra coming to me from another site, I think its this model. I have a feeling the cups may fit a little big with the one ordered.I have been curious about this brand but some of their models have intimidated me (such as the Gossard Glossies !)
This bra is everything I want from full-bust design (aside from its size range). It isn't trying to be full coverage, it might really fit a full-busted person, it's got a really interesting and compelling cut, I haven't seen it done 100 times in the full-bust market, and it's not attempting to sacrifice comfort for its sexiness. The print is AMAZING, not a tired floral, but one that pops even though it's so dark. I think I screamed when I saw this bra back in 2014. I didn't understand why Gossard saw fit to cover its great fabric choice up with eyelash lace, so I took to the ...bra with scissors and removed all the lace from the cups. In short, this bra reminds me why I'm so sad I'm sized (and shaped) out of Gossard now.
That said, the bra never had a chance of fitting me, even one cup size ago. This bra is from the time when Gossard's bands ran 1 size small, so the 32 band fits my size-30 really well. However, the cups are on the smaller side. This bra could work for a 30G, but not a 30GG like I was, and definitely not for my current 30H boobs. That sure isn't stopping me from breaking it out very occasionally: it's just that interesting. The cups have a cool shape, almost like a quarter-cup bra but a lot more secure. In the right size, I think my boobs would be mostly exposed but definitely wouldn't be at risk of falling out. The band fits me very well. The fabric and inner cup foam is really soft, and the cups are structured but not at all stiff. I'm projected and this bra is shallow, to the same degree or a little less than Freya's half cups, but it wasn't shallow enough to get me out of the cups.
The quality isn't all there, which would've been a real pain if I had bought this full price. But I don't mind that sacrifice for getting the bra as cheaply as I did off of Ebay. Within the first 2 weeks of using it, the lace making up the inner portion of the band was breaking, even though it felt sturdy. However, the eyelash lace on the front of the cups was attached fairly solidly. I had to be careful and mindful removing it, and needed to sew the fabric overlay on the cups back together after removal, which might be good news if you like the lace.
Make me an offer if you'd like to try this bra. I like it so much that I'm having a hard time listing, but I know I'm being absurd. I should share the love. Read more 344 more words
Well obviously it doesn't fit. The cups are tall and very open at the top. I'm not sure if there will be enough depth at the wire in the 34F, but it's on Amazon Prime so I'm willing to try it. For science!
The color is gorgeous. The pictures of the bra alone show the color best. The lace is soft as are all the materials used. Band is pretty stretchy. Wires are firm enough but not Panache-firm. There's no fabric between the wires at the top of the gore, so the cup separation is kind of a self-adjusting feature. My boobs push the wires together mostly. If I end up keeping the 34F I'll probably tack the wire channels together at the top.
It's only a 2-part cup, so no vertical seams in the lower part, which is why I'm wondering about the depth at the wire. I guess we'll see.
The wings of this bra are a bit irritating for me sometimes, but it is so hard to find an unlined seamless bra in my size that I'm inclined to be forgiving.
The cups on this are stretchy, which means I could wear this in a D cup on smaller-boob days, or a DD cup on bigger days. But there are differences between the D and the DD cups. The D cups and below don't have side slings, which I think I miss, as this bra doesn't do a lot of shaping, but the D's have convertible straps, which DD and above don't.
If I was looking for very firm support, this isn't the bra I would choose, but it doesn't show under even very thin clothes, has convertible straps to make it even more versatile, comes in great colors, and is a pretty sexy without any potentially itchy lace. I'm a little concerned about longevity, since it feels very lightweight, but if it holds up well, I'd consider buying more colors.
I usually wear 28F (/28FF) in Panache, Cleo, Fauve, etc. Gossard bras tend to run tight in the band and this fortunately is tight for a 30, too. It means that the band is tight enough for me. My shape is wide, tall roots and shallow boobs - perfect for Gossard bras. The shape of this bra fits quite okay. In some pictures I see a little orange in a glass but that might be because the cups tend to be a tad too small for me. SO maybe 30F would´ve been better. What else, the colour is quite red, all over, at least in this winter-indoors-lightning. Actually I liked it better in this review: https://2cakesonaplate.wordpress.com/2016/03/30/lingerie-review-gossard-amour-in-30dd/ , where there is more contrast between the lace (pink parts) and the other fabric. Also in the blog the main colour tends to be more towards orange, not so red as my bra seems to be. I hope it´s just the poor lightning.
Gorgeous! I picked this up on clearance and regret not grabbing at least 3. Seriously, I still keep an eye out for this beaut. The band started just snug enough on the tightest hook (so it runs about TTS, my ribs are ~27"). This bra was so comfortable before I stretched the band out a notch, even with a year or two of heavy wear the bra is holding up very well. The end of the gore is a little ratty, but otherwise it looks quite good. Still neon pink and blue, no rips, runs or fraying.
The very bottoms of the cups are too shallow for me ...and the sides of the cups are verging on too high. The gore is fabulously short and comfortable. The fabrics are all comfortable and the padding is a little on the thick end - a slightly squishy foam. The cups are pretty adamant about their shape, something that would probably be better for softer tissue. This was the first time my breasts looked like the models'! Rounded cleavage galore. Despite one row of hooks and the empty bottom-most of the cups, I found it to be supportive and stayed in place fairly well (my breasts demanded more projection pushed the cups down maybe a half inch).
I tried for a while to figure out if this has any sister cuts and I'm still not sure. Maybe the glossies? I also have a 30E and the difference between the two sizes is absurd, which seems to be problem in how bra patterns scale between 30DD & E. Read more 157 more words
This bra is really tight. The band is minimum one size smaller and I'm not sure about the cup. I will order this one in 32C and 32D next time so I can compare them. I wear the bra with an extander and it's still too tight. The wire pokes my breast on both sides. I love the look of this bra, but it's so uncomfy that I don't wear it anymore.
First I'd like to mention that this bra's rose gold metal parts have started staining the bra green after 9 months. Even though I didn't pay full price it's still disappointing.
This bra technically fits but it's just not the best bra for me. The band is snug enough, the cups are deep enough, the gore tacks, etc... but the way it was constructed makes this bra useless at supporting heavy breasts. The straps on Phoebe don't connect to the cups. Instead they stop near the cups and are attached to the very thin mesh that acts as a slide sling both outside and inside the bra. You're getting ...your support from 2 layers of mesh! It appears that the band is very rigid while the wires are too malleable. So instead of the wires remaining stable while the band stretches to fit your ribs, the opposite is occurring. I will admit that I loved how tight this band was because I'm in between sizes and this was just right for me. Honestly, the design/construction is the worst I've ever tried on. I get more support from my pre-bravengelized size of 36D, that's how bad it is.
It's such a gorgeous bra but it's useless to me. I loved the color, the stitching, the rose gold metal, the cage back, the keyhole at the gore, but all those cute details mean nothing when my breasts aren't supported. I really wanted to love this bra and I had such high hopes for it, but the Phoebe just couldn't live up to my expectations.
-It's light as a feather but it's construction is stable enough for my D to DD. -It has only 1 hook (my only bra with one hook) -Having washed it handwarm it did not fade out at all even though it's black. Impressing! - The fabric has a certain glimmer which is simply beautiful. -Cute details everywhere. -Gives the right protection for my FoO pair
Simply nice! Thanks alexad for that swap a second (or third - I don't know) - time. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
When I put this bra on I'm struck by how WIDE this makes my chest look. The wires and cups seem to be the perfect fit when you look at the measurements, but because there is no side support everything gets pushed to the sides. I want to love this bra, but I'm hesitant. I normally wear unlined bras, so these moulded cups are strange to me. At the nipple line they seem to flatten, creating an unflattering profile shape which is worst in my larger right breast. I am also slightly folding the cups near the bottom so I am too projected for this bra. The 32 ...band is too big on me and I have to wear it on the tightest hooks. The mesh tops of the cups go right up to the top of the shoulder, and the turn into the straps at the back. If the band size was smaller, I think I would have less trouble with the top of the cups meeting my armpit. This is a very pretty bra with lovely extra touches like the centre bow and gold hardware, but I don't think I will be keeping it. Read more 89 more words
Definitely should have listened to the reviews saying the band runs tight. I looked for a 32D but couldn't find it so I went with my normal 30DD. It is ridiculously small. I used an extender with this (on the loosest setting) and it was still too tight. This would best fit someone that needed a 26" band. There's so much padding that it feels shallow at the bottom
Gossard's website led me to believe this bra was unpadded, which it is not. So that's a killer for me. I could work with the wider wires, but the padding in the bottom half makes it too shallow for my projected breasts. As much as I love the gateway back and desperately want a bra with a gateway back, it also makes the band nearly impossible to alter smaller. The color is much brighter IRL when compared to the website, it's more of a true coral. As pretty as it is, it's not for me.
The cups are too deep for me at the apex, it's barely touching my boob and is almost hollow on my smaller days. They are also too closed at the top like every other strapless bra ever. There's a lot of space inside the cups despite all the push up padding. The band is wonderfully tight, and fits me perfectly. I love the lore gore, but the sequins are itchy and irritate my skin. That would probably not be a problem with clothing on and if it didn't cut into my boob near the armpit area.
I should have gone up one cup size on this but I'm keeping it anyway because it's so pretty. It seems best for FOB breasts. This colorway runs tighter in the band than the black Retrolution version. The top of the cups also have more give in this color than the black because it has a stretchy elastic trim.
Lovely bra, but slightly large on me. I don't find this one the most flattering on me. I do love the gateway back, but I think this would work better on someone with more upper fullness than I have. The lace on this is quite pretty and is mesh lined with side slings. The bow at the center is hot pink, which contrasts nicely with the turquoise. If I didn't already have the Panache Andorra in this size I'd be more tempted to keep this one!
Really nice bra! It's super cute and I love the non-existent gore. It is perfect for my touching roots. However, the cups on this bra are a bit too tall and too deep for me at the apex. The bra is too big overall, I may have to try the size down if I can get my hands on one.
Ive been wanting this bra for some time now. I had it once long time ago in a wrong size. I saw this one in a decent price so I gave it a go. Obviously as it is a Gossard its well made. Materials are good quality and feels luxurious as it is the VIP collection. My usual Gossard size is 32DD, so the 30 band is bit on the tigh side and if id decide to keep the bra id need to get it in 32. Surprisingly, the cups fit me well with only some wrinkling on the smaller side. However the main issue with this bra is the shape that it gives.. I was expecitng that as the cut already shows the shape but also I was quietly hoping that Ill like it - but I dont. I am one of these who likes rounded shape. It doesnt look horrible, but not good enough for me.
