I would like slightly larger cups - but the top doesn't come in 30HH, and the 32H Panache Sport bra I already wear needed altering to be tight enough in the band (and after many wears now needs taking in again.) Apart from the small amount of quadboob, I'm very pleased with this top. The material is smooth and stretchy, like swimsuit fabric. The coloured stripes have tiny squares in pink, yellow, white and different shades of blue. The curves make my waist look smaller. The strap length is fine for me, but might be a problem for people with longer torsos (I'm short) as straps need to be longer to wear with the j-hook fastened, which gives the best support. It's a bit awkward to put on, since even though the bra band is unfastened the back of the top remains in the way, but easier to remove.
I have now tried 4 different sizes of this bra at different points in my post-pregnancy weight loss. None have fit me until now. I measure at 28G these days, but I figured based on my past experiences with other sizes that I'd need to go one cup down because of my short roots and lack of upper fullness if I wanted to avoid the empty space I usually get at the top of the cup.
The band is very snug around my 27.5 inch underbust, but not uncomfortably so. The cups are tight to the point that I might actually be able to wear a 28G ...after all, but the 28FF fits well enough that it probably isn't worth buying a brand new, full price one just to try.
To give some context to the activity I bought the bra for, my "sport" of choice is dance gaming (so like Dance Dance Revolution type stuff). I didn't notice any bounce at all while playing, even during the jump-heavy parts, so I would call this a success. (As an added bonus, the pink spot colorway I got actually kinda matches the aesthetic of older DDR machines.)
After wearing it for a few hours of play, I do notice some upper back pain. I'm not sure why this is - it happened with the other sizes I tried when I walked around in them, and I assumed it was because I used the j-hook in the back to try to lessen the empty space at the top, but I did not use it this time. Maybe I just need to loosen the straps, or I need more time to break it in.
As others have mentioned, the shape it gives under a shirt is nice, and the construction is high quality. Read more 195 more words
I tried this bra again. It is comfortable on the tightest hooks, but not quite tight enough for a vigorous cardio workout. I could feel my boobs moving around a lot. I like everything strapped down really tight when I work out, so this bra is a no go for me.
My underbust is currently 26". I purchased this bra gently used from a Bratabaser. I haven't had time to measure it yet, but I wore it once to exercise in. I put it on the loosest hooks and it felt snug but the cups were slightly unfilled. During my workout I had to pull the bra up a couple of times and I regretted my decision to use the loosest hooks. I will try it again on a tighter setting and see if this solves any problems.
This is a copy-paste of my review from my other Panache Sport in lime--they fit exactly the same on me, thankfully! In this size range, this bra is good for shallow breasts with gradually-sloping tall roots, as mine are. Oh, and I ne
I have wide, even breasts with tall roots.
There is no cutting into my tall roots on the top--great fit there.
Very tight band, reminiscent of Cleo bands. This bra is SO CUTE and feels very well made.
The underwires are strange--they feel much more flexible than normal wires. It is hard to feel them at all. I didn't realize that the bra was actually ...sitting well below my inframammary fold at first. I tried adjusting it upward but I find it more comfortable a bit below--however, it's hard to tell where the wires even are due to their strangeness, and I'm not sure the wire placement matters as much for a sports bra.
It gives a nice round, and uplifted-but-slightly-minimized shape. I would definitely wear this as a normal bra on some days.
Due to the shape and construction of the bra, I had some difficulty on the S&S.
Can update this review after the next game of ultimate frisbee!
update: This sports bra is AWESOME! I don't have large breasts, but the fact that I never thought about what I was wearing or what my boobs were doing proves that everything was in place (and I could focus on the game!). Read more 136 more words
I own 6 of these, 2 in 30GG and 4 in 28H. Love them all. For awhile I was very skeptical of the underwired sports bra, but now I am totally a Panache sport convert.
I cannot understand, why Panache don't produce sport bras for bigger boobs. I ordered a 36H, because it was the bigger cup, unfortunately not really in my size. But I kept the bra because it is extremely comfortable. The straps are wide enough, and with a shirt is is not bad. In this condition it is not really good for doing sports, but I use it as a „relaxing” bra.
Cons: -not in bigger size -I cannot use the fixing at the back
My first Panache Sport fit great in 28G (in the Navy colorway), but that seems to have been the earliest generation of the Sport. Subsequent Panache Sports have fit much better in 28FF, as I don't have a lot of upper fullness to fill it out. This one fits okay on my larger breast, but waaaaay too big on the other one. I'd advise anyone that is FOB to size down in the cup for the more recently produced ones!
Bought before I was properly measured and knew my size. Was still incredibly supportive considering I was measured at 38G. Continued to work fairly well when I dropped to a 33" ribcage as long as I folded the band a bit. Will be repurchasing in my proper size ASAP.
I find it hard to judge the fit of this one, so it's so opaque and so tall it's impossible to see what the breast is doing underneath it all.
Band runs super tight: I wear a 30 in Cleos, but find the loosest hooks of the 32 plenty firm enough in this one.
Cups are very, very shallow at their base: this is a bra that is designed to lift your boobs up high and hold them in tight. Which it does: gives a great shape and provides fabulous control. I wish the band ran a little looser: I've a feeling if I could size down in the band, the cups would be filled better; as it is I feel there's some emptiness at the very top of the cup that is detracting from the bra's ability to hold everything in place.
Gore is too wide for me, so it only soft-tacks at the top, which I suspect is also why I don't get the full bounce-control I'm wanting out of this.
First of all; I love the colour. Wearing this bra just makes me feel peppy. Great quality, I like the materials used, and the silicone encased underwire is a great idea. Unfortunately this bra is too small for me, it cuts into my upper breast tissue and creates a lump under clothing. The centre gore is very high and doesn't lay flat on me, but I still feel very secure in this bra. The cups appear quite deep, I don't think they run large though, at least for me. I absolutely must try this bra in the correct size, I would love one that fits!
This bra has been too small for me from the offset, but there are a few things I can say about it! I love the appearance! It really encourages me to exercise when I feel good in what I'm wearing, and this made me want to wear it for looks alone; I liked wearing it under sheer blouses as it's not very revealing. On my 28inch ribcage this bra felt comfortably firm, I would've been perfectly supported exercising in it. The cups cut in to my full-on-top breasts, but I've learned that this happens even in the correct cup size with this bra. Perhaps my breasts are high ...set? This bra is very tall, the centre gore did not lay flat on me, but I felt very secure in it. The shape is round and uplifted, though I had serious quadboob above the cup. The materials are soft, but I was unable to wear this bra for long periods of time due to pain and discomfort, though this was likely caused by the too small cups. I prefer bands that are +2 from my measurements, so I would take a 30 band in future. I only wore this bra a few times, for kickboxing classes, and it certainly did a good job of supporting me and making me feel protected. Read more 112 more words
The wires are too wide. The bra is super cute though even though it is really thick. Not too great for a hot day unless it's the only thing you're wearing. Great support otherwise. The straps are a little close together, but much better than some bras. Overall I've enjoyed running with it.
Update 7/18/15: I still own this sports bra and it still functions for great support. However, the wires are now too wide for me due to weight loss. I still highly recomend it.
Original Review 5/9/12: I Love this sports bra, it fits me perfect. I originally purchased and reviewed this in a size 28G but have since upgraded to a 28GG and it's even better.
This is AMAZING as a sports bra, I dance so I do a lot of bouncing around and this keeps everyone locked in. I bought it in a white and a black colour, it'd be great for dance if they ever did a nude version of this. I think all bras should have their wires in silicone, you can't feel them! Sadly after about 4 months I have grown out of them both, but when I can I will definitely re-buy them!
