This bra is so soft and cozy and I'm totally bummed it doesn't fit! The band is about a size too small, I think, and the cups were okay at first until I really scooped and swooped and then it was clear it was just too small. I'll be trying it in the next size up, if I can find it.
This is the first bra I've tried that fits! I tried it in a 44GG first and found the band to very, very tight, even though I've been wearing 44s for years and never had a problem with the band riding up (it's my cup size that has been too small, I appear to have gotten the band size right somehow.) I also was getting what I think was some wire distortion that was causing empty space at the bottom of the cup, but everything else seemed to fit well and I liked the height of the sides, so I ordered it in the 46G and it has ...completely fixed that problem. I have close-set breasts and the gore is pretty tall (though narrow) on this, so the very top of it rests in a not so great spot where my breasts meet, but since everything else is great I'm calling it a win. I'll try bending the wires out at the top a tiny bit, I think.
Update: After wearing this for several days, the band has stretched out a lot and I find myself wishing I'd stuck with the 44. I've altered the band to make it shorter and moved the wires into the extra channel room on the outside of the cup and put a few stitches at the top of the wires in the gore to keep them there, and the whole thing fits better now. This one seems to fit me a tiny bit better than the Sculptresse Chi-chi Full Cup Bra (7695) , and it gives me a more rounded shape and stays closer to my IMF (though not perfectly in it - I haven't found one that does yet.) I did alter the band to make it firmer - it felt fine when I first put it on, but it seems to stretch out pretty quickly. I really probably need a 44G in this, but I got it for a good price on ebay and shortening the band is so easy that I don't mind. Also, the gore is a little shorter than the Chi-Chi and doesn't bother me at all.
Well this is my first bra in my calculated size and I love how I look in it, especially under a shirt. So much more lifted! The big but though, my underarm is getting irritated. It doesn't feel like the underwire but more the rough texture of the elastic. I'll update after I've had a chance to wear it some more.
8/2/16 update.- After a few washes and wears, this bra loosened and softened up, a lot. It was the fabric that was giving my underarm irritation. Like too loose on the tightest setting big. The cup I think is too small also, maybe. When I scoop all the girls to the front I have overflow but if I don't push it all to the front constantly throughout the day it's just not an amazing fit. I'll update with better photos soon.
I loved this bra so much in a 40H but over the day I noticed I got visible quadding. Since it's discontinued I could only get a sister sized 42H. I still LOVE the fit, feel, and look of this bra. I love star prints and the shape I get is a Marcie shape- round and sexy. Though this bra has wide wires it pushes me to the front. I wish I could have it with a lowered gore and narrower, shorter wires. Then it would be my perfect bra. Still, it's comfortable enough, and I'm a fan of Panache's firm wires ...because they tack which creates more support for me. I know the longer band will become a problem but I know how to sew so I will take care of it. I wish Sculptresse would release more bras in this cut!
Very open nonstretch top cup, does not cut in. Soft, stretchy straps not fully adjustable. Light and lined in beige mesh. The edges in the armpit are elasticized to gather more side tissue. V shaped back is super supportive and wings are stretchy but firm mesh. Although straps are wideset in front, they are close together in back, and straps mostly stay on my sloping shoulders. Retro punk look without retro shape. Read more 121 more words
This is not the right fit for me. The underwire is very wide and long. It comes up well into my armpit and is very uncomfortable. Other than that, it looks and feels very nice.
I'm a little irritated about this. My other Sculptresse Full Cup bra in 40H fits better than this because the top is more open. On this bra, the embroidery closes off the top material, which means that the cup both cuts in and gapes on my larger side because the very top of the cup is more flexible than an inch down where the embroidery is. I'm so frustrated because besides this the bra portion fits really well. The bottom fabric portion of the babydoll is not very voluminous so it fits tight around my stomach and is not very flattering but if the ...bra portion had fit I would have cut that part off. The colorway matches the pink/purple colorway of the Pure Lace line, so the briefs from that are made from the same stretchy dot mesh fabric as this babydoll, so if you want to match it you can. At this point I have no idea what size I fit in the Sculptresse line as every single size I have chosen (40GG, 40H, 40HH) makes me quad on the larger side.
The length from the bottom of the gore to the bottom of the skirt material is 20 inches. Read more 99 more words
If only this bra wasn't so pointy and didn't have such a visible horizontal seam. It's a perfect "nude" for my pale skin, but would be better for full on bottom breasts as it gives that upside down 7 look on my FOT breasts. It gaps slightly on my small side and is a bit too large on my big side as well.
Very open nonstretch top cup, does not cut in. Soft, stretchy straps not fully adjustable. Very round uplifted shape. Light and lined in beige mesh. The wires do cut in after hours of wear (thinking of putting a soft moleskin pad at the end under the armpit). The edges in the armpit are elasticized to gather more side tissue. V shaped back is super supportive and wings are stretchy but firm mesh. Although straps are wideset in front, they are close together in back, and straps mostly stay on my sloping shoulders. One of the most comfortable bras I've tried. I really with Panache would use the Sculptresse fabrics in the regular line - the wings are made of a double layer of this silky-soft fabric that is SO much more comfortable than the mesh on say the Jasmine.
I sister-seized up from my normal Panache 34FF, since at the time of purchase Sculptress didn't do 34 bands.
Sadly, it's not a great fit with me shape. I get a little bit of quad-boob on my larger side, and a weirdly flat slope in the upper inner part of the cup. I'd say this is better for someone with less upper fullness.
But again, SO COMFORTABLE. I actually debated keeping it just to wear when flying, it's that comfy.

I loved the style of this bra, and the construction. However, it must run small in the cups. Also. Although band felt very comfortable, the stretchiness could be an issue after some regular wear. I would be worried it would slide. Ordered this on Amazon, didn't fit (cup one size too small) and returned. They don't make them above H cup, so I'm out of luck.
The color is gorgeous and the print is cute. I had high hopes for this style because it is based on the style of my best-fitting bra, the Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951). Sadly, the Paradise doesn't work as well for me as the Jasmine does. The lace upper panel on the Jasmine is stretchy, so it is great for asymmetry and it doesn't cut in across the top. The lace panel on the Paradise is not stretchy, so I would probably have to go up at least one cup size for it to fit my larger side with no spillage—but then the wires would likely be too wide for me.
I usually wear anything around 34K-L so I had to size up in band to get the cup volume I need. I love the cute Butterfly print and that it is apparently modelled after the Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951). I have to say that it only shares the same cut with the Jasmine but the lace section on top of the Sculptresse bra is not stretchy at all. I think that actually makes the bra more stable and sturdy. I had issues with the Jasmine being too weak for my boobs so I had high hopes Sculptresse's take on the popular cut.
What made it a failure? ...It come up very small in the cups compared to older models like Sculptresse Bellise Balconnet Bra (6891) and Sculptresse Willow Full Cup Bra (6905) . I can fit into Bellise in a 38J since the cups run big and do not even have to alter the band since it comes up small and I can wear it on the tightest setting.
With the Paradise I have visible quadboob and the band feels much too big. Since I found the old Sculptresse styles to come up big in the cups and small in the band compared to a usual Panache bra in that size (for example Ariza or Tango) I think that this bra is now actually true to size and fits like every other Panache 38J or even a bit small in the cups.
I had this taken in to be a 34 inch bra. Fit is perfect, and super comfortable. The band is stiff enough to be comfortable, and the cups are soft, but gives a great shape. Lace sits smooth, but has some texture that can rarely be seen though think shirts. It's a really great looking nude bra-not nearly as stuffy as most.
A seamless bra in an H cup that actually works! I've only tried it on so far but I will wear it a week and update my review. I'm typically a 34H but lately my bras have been feeling a little tight. My underbust is still 33 but right under that there's a little extra cushion. Also gained a little in the boobs. Overbust used to be 43 now it's closer to 44. I think a true 36 would still be too big but my experience with Panache is that they tend towards tighter bands so I hoped a Sculptresse 36 would be a good half ...size between a true 34 and 36. I was right. I initially ordered the 36GG. The cups were a little small and the gore wouldn't tack. It was still wearable but was squishing me a little too much so I got the 36H instead. The bra is not perfect but its close and for a seamless it brings the girls forward more than most. For a seamless bra I'm really impressed that my boobs are not splayed out to the sides. There is a side sling in between the layers that helps with that. The gore tacks in the 36H but also the underwrires are a little higher on the sides. Any higher and It would be too uncomfortable. I'll have to wear it for awhile to see how it feels. The band definitely runs small because it doesn't quite stretch to 36.The cup is on the small side as well. I would definitely size up one cup and possibly one band depending on how you like your bands. If you are a 34 I would recommend you give this bra a try. Panache should make this bra in smaller bands too. There are not many seamless bras out there that come in an H cup. I know it's difficult to make a successful seamless bra in bigger cups because they're not as supportive but this bra proves that it can be done. Read more 239 more words
This is my best fitting bra so far. It's very comfortable, I forgot I had it on right away. It doesn't poke me or feel to tight.
It could be better, the wire marks when I take it off are a couple of inches below my breast. I think I need more projection and the wires could be a little shorter under my arms.
The seams show very much. I had on a tank top and a loose t-shirt and I could still clearly see a seam across my breast but it did hide my nips very well.
Note: I suffer from a skin condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. So if you see marks or scars on my skin that's my H.S. Please be considerate when viewing my pics. I took it on a old webcam. If you need better pics just ask.
Anyway, i'd like to share my experience with it since i just got it on Wednesday (May 14 2014) and i was wondering if any of you who have this bra had the same experience.
First off i have to say i got the May in the blush version in a 44H. In the Elomi Imogen that i bought on May 2 i got it on ...a 42H and it fit me well (though the wires, like all of Elomi's wires tend to do, keeps poking my arm fat, but i think i can easily fix that with tightening the straps...i hope). But otherwise the Imogen fits me well (tho there's some slight boob spill) but its a gorgeous bra.
With the May, since i've read blog reviews concerning Sculptresse (not necessarily the May), i knew i had to size up. I measure around 43 inches around my rib cage, so i got the 44 since i would think the 46 would be too loose....boy was i wrong.
From the start, even with the straps lengthen (the straps are semi adjustable...that's asking for trouble i mention more on that later) the band was so tight i couldn't even hook it...and this is a 44H i like to reiterate. I put an extender to see if it would make a difference, it did, but it made the bra too loose for me (i like to have a firm not constricting band). After fooling and trying to stretch it for awhile it finally stretch (tho i swear i heard a snap but i'm not sure if it was the band or something else...but otherwise the bra is ok). The band started to not feel so bad, problem is that i could easily get it now to the tightest hooks easily...so i don't know if i broke the bra too quickly, but otherwise its tight but not as tight a fit when i first got it on.
The Cups: The cups are not made from a stiff material, they're actually very flexible and soft. They're no side support panels which is crazy for a plus size full cup bra. Worst of all they provide no lift and support, and i get tons of strap gap. I tighten the straps to the max to see if it would lift more but i still sometimes do get it. There's some side boob spillage but since i have one breast bigger then the other it sometimes looks worst on my bigger breast. I honestly think its the way the cup is cut that makes me have the side boobage spills. But yeah...i don't know what they were going for with the cut of this bra. I'm not sure about cup size. I don't know if its the cut of the bra or what but the top of the cup leaves me with strap gap but then i get side spillage, so i'm not sure if i should size up or down. So i would like your advice on this. Should i get a 46H or 46HH? Or maybe even a 46G or 46GG?
The Wire: The wires tbh aren't that bad. The problem i have with Elomi bras is that they tend to be really high and either poke me in the arm or be too high in the center gore so it shows through shirts a bit. I don't think the wires cut into my breasts tissue as much since they don't poke me at all and the height is great for me since i'm under 5'5. Though by messing with the bra a bit i probably stretched the wires out with the weight of my breasts. But otherwise i don't feel its that bad, but i also don't feel its the greatest. I don't know i just feel there's something off, but otherwise the wires aren't that big of a problem at least for me.
The Band: Like i said before, if i wanted to buy again from this line (and i'm contemplating getting the Blue May bra soon from Ebay) i think i would have to get it on a 46.The bands material i have to say doesn't flip like my Elomi's tend to do (tho the May does flip a bit but not as bad as Elomi). The material for the band is really soft and its very well made. Hopefully Elomi takes notes on Sculptresse band material (though hopefully they won't take up in putting it so tight as Sculptresse tended to do).
The Straps: Oh boy! My biggest problem with this bra is the straps. They're elastic which is a big no no for me since they don't make the cups flush to the skin very well. Also they're semi adjustable, so you can't tighten all the way if you wished. I don't know why Panache thought it would be a good idea to make the Straps semi adjustable and on top of that elastic, especially with a cup that isn't made with stiffer material. If the straps were made from a stiffer material like Elomi and be fully adjustable, i don't think i would have so much strap gap. While wearing this bra i have to tighten the straps to the max otherwise i don't feel supported because the cup will look saggy to me and i won't get any lift. Bad news is they make my arms feel a bit weird and such, so i don't know if its cutting some blood circulation or what. It's so weird this band is tight but yet i don't feel lifted in this bra at all. I feel the cups are just like plastic wrap on my breasts. Even though Elomi has some issues, its not as bad as Sculptresse. I do understand this is their first foray into the plus size market, but they still have alot of work to do to be even a challenger to Elomi or Goddess.
Overall: I don't hate the bra, but fit wise it isn't my favorite. It's a gorgeous bra, but with the insane adjustments i had to do with it and the weirdness of this bra i would have to advise someone to be prepared to do a ton of adjustments or return the bra back. I didn't return it since i wore the bra for a day for a test run and since i've never return a bra before in the mail (i got it through Figleaves and i live in the U.S.) i felt that it would be more trouble then its worth to return it so i just stayed with it. But yeah, if anyone is considering buying this bra, size 1 or 2 sizes up in the band, i'm not kidding, its that tight. Expect side boob spillage and the wires being a bit narrow at first and expect TONS of Strap Gap as well (you will hate the straps at the end of the day). If you can deal with any of these things, in the end, hopefully when the bra is stretched out you'll be left with a very feminine pretty bra.
Anyway i'd like to know anyone elses experience with the Sculptresse May bra.
And i would like some advice on my pontential purchase of the blue May bra. Read more 1139 more words
