  1. Pure Moulded T-shirt Bra (6291)

    Didn't fit

I'm loving this bra. On the downside for me, the wires are too low and narrow for me, but that's almost always true. The material is VERY soft and comfy though. I kind of can't stop groping myself in it. It's seamless but still an unlined bra, although there seems to be a very subtle internal side support panel?I didn't notice it at first, but it's there. BEWARE, people that struggle with and are bothered by nipple show through, that's a quite likely possibility in this bra. It's thin abd there are no seams to hide behind. My nips are kind of lazy though, so it's not too ... often a problem for me.

It is very, very much a purple shape (http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2012/01/what-exactly-is-good-shape.html). That is, it's incredibly rounded from the side, but in a bit of a lower, maybe slightly minimized way. But not like minimized flat, just hugged closer.

The cup fabric is somewhat stretchy - not like on the level of stretch lace, but I'm juuuuust barely quadding a little on my larger boob when I scoop into this, but if I sort of tug on the fabric I can get it to settle.

The straps have a comfy slight padding to them, and the bottom of the elastic band shares a similar fabric backing. The band is also nice and thick most of the way across. The gore is refreshingly short for a non plunge bra in these sizes, and unadorned for once.
The color is much darker than my skin tone, like a slightly lighter clay, but vanishes nicely under clothes.

Over all, short wire side spillage aside, this is an awesome basic bra and I expect will be a new go-to. <3

  2. Willow Full Cup Bra (6905)

    Didn't fit

This is the first time I tried a Panache Sculptresse bra. I already guessed the Willow would not work for me from the pictures and I was right.

The wires are too narrow and quite long, the cups just a bit too shallow, the bottom cup not quite right and upper cup had fabric where I did not need it.

The bottom cup starts out with some immediate bottom projection, only to curve upwards in a steep 45 degree angle that is meant to "push-up". I found this uncomfortable, since this is exactly the spot where I need the cup to be very rounded. At the same time ... the horizontal seam seperating bottom and upper cup hit me about 1.5 cms too high, so I could not fill the bottom cup. First time that ever happened to me in a bra that was the right size, really freaked me out.

The gore went up very high, similar to the Tango in the same size

The top cup was strange on me. It was meant for a straight line from nipple to neck, yet assumed a lot of volume there, far more than the Tango ever did. The upper cup especially had a lot of volume right above the center gore.

All in all I think this bra could work on somebody whose only well-fitting bra is the Freya Deco Strapless, the Cleo Chloe, the Panache Jasmine or an Ulla bra.

Panache definitely took a long look at the construction of the bras by German large cup-large band specialist Ulla Dessous when they did the Panache Sculptresse line and it shows. The narrow wires and the excess fabric in the upper cup on my bottom-heavy breasts are typical for Ulla bras. The main difference is the shallower cup on the Panache Sculptresse, the lack of the typical east-west-shape you get in Ulla in the corresponding sizes of 95K/L and the lower price of the Panache Sculptresse bras.

  3. Bellise Balconnet Bra (6891)

    Hasn't set fit

This bra seriously probably has the most comfortable fabric I have ever tried in a bra. It is seriously so soft compared with sturdy that I never thought a bra like that could be made. Add to that the wide band and the curved construction of the bra in the front and I am stunned by the quality.

The best thing is the bra is too large for me. But too large actually everywhere. I almost believe it could fit if I sized down.

Vertical depth near the strap: 31 cm
    Near the gore: 17 cm
Where the vertical seam is: 29 cm
Height of vertical seam: 19 cm

Gore separation on bottom: 5.5 cm

I compared this bra to my Andorra 36J. Height where the vertical seam is is 26. Andorra is labeled a fullcup. Belisse is labeled a balconette. QTF?!

    • Excited for pictures!

    • Elphabra I'm swimming in it! :D Pictures won't really say a lot, but you can all have a good laugh :D

    • Elphabra Now you can see the madness :D

drownedsalad I think we can say this bra is very very tall! :D

I never got why the Andorra is labelled as full-cup. It came lower than many "balconettes*. Anyway this bra... cup depth & band measuement (it's more like a 32-34 band?) sound like they would fit me o.O however 14cm wing height would even be unbearable for me.

    • 1

alisa I actually thought about if it could fit you :D The wings are not high but low! The band rather sits lower not higher because of how it's angled :) And yes, the band is very very firm and nice :)

I figured we could send this around bratabase as a gift bra to see where it ends up in the end :D But in that case the give away should be conditional so that no one that doesn't achieve a perfect fit will need to send it further :D

I mean everyone that doesn't achieve a perfect fit will need to send it further :D Only the one with a perfect fit in this bra could keep it. It would be interesting to see how it fitted different kinds of shape :D

    • You mean you would send it to me, so I can try it. If it does not fit me, I list it as giveaway and send it to someone else??

    • A band that sits lower?? Sounds really good. I'm annoyed with these "up angled" bands of certain bras that cause more back fat than there has to be.

    • Thanks! :) Wow that's a lot of bra. I wonder how much of it is the size on you? That band looks glorious, though. Does it seem shallow at the bottom, or is that just how it's sitting on you?
Hmm, I wonder if this bra is my size? My 36HH ariza is pretty full these days.

Also, is it just me, or does this bra pattern look more like a swimsuit?

    • Holy moley! It's practically on your back!

    • Elphabra http://www.bratabase.com/compare/dhnm7/ Here are the insights.

alisa I would say it sits lower, but it's not angled lower in the back. It's just expanded downwards so to speak. It's a wider band :)

And yes, I'm thinking that we could make a bra adventure give away thing about it and have people motivate why they should try it and so on. It could be a fun experiment. Braboratory in progress :) I'm still not completely sure about it. I have to think a little bit more, but I think it could be an interesting idea!

    • Oh and yes Elphabra when you say it you're right that it does remind of a swimsuit. Maybe it's because the cups are so huge on me though :D
