  With handwashing / delicate detergent I'd definitely expect bras to last a longer time in prime condition.

  Sometimes, more delicate fabrics like stretch lace bras (even 'high quality' ones like Ewa M.) do show signs of wear quite quickly (some snags or pilling), which I'm always a bit sad about.

  Elastics + lace in general can be tricky though: I've had full-lace briefs that, after a while, get all these tiiiny bits of elastic sticking out, you know what I mean? Looks almost like tiny white 'hairs' and it grosses me out. But that's usually with machine washing and cheaper materials / non-branded items.

  But your bra seems to be made of quite sturdy materials so I think you're right in expecting more!

• The 2HC is going to be a wider and shallower cut than the 3HC. That said, I find the half cup (at least the 3HC) to be a bit more minimizing in general. Which isn’t actually a bad thing with some clothing. Sometimes projected bras under some tops can make them boob tents. I love the rosette design but I am so scared to order it as I’ve seen a 3HC in 65J with 5” cups and some with 6” cups and I definitely need a 5-5.25” width.

• Did you scoop and swoop? You can always post a fit check to find out the root of the issue.

• Yes, I swooped and scooped, and I shortened the straps but I think the cups likely just run large on those particular bras.

• Yep I know, just can't order from their website to sweden. I asked them about if they knew any retailer who had got them in J but they just said its up to each retailer to decide, of course, and I guess they wait until a new color comes out, and order limited sizes to see if they will sell. I've only seen it on figleaves, while brastop got the same color they seemingly didn't order any HH or J cups.

• I'm so sorry! I hope they all fit when you get them. I'm still waiting on my order, I'd have kittens if this happened. My "Karen" tendencies would go into overdrive. I'd probably run to the post office to give them a piece of my mind, lol. On a side note, why are bras only able to be delivered to those 21+? Don't we start to develop breasts around 8-12 years old?

• @marilynne I thought it was so weird that it said 21+. I guess before that you can't have boobs. XDDD I kept the Karen under control, but I was definitely super annoyed.

  Fingers crossed they work for me when I finally get to try them on!

• No I totally agree! I also dislike if they just randomly leave out sizes. For example Elomi Energise sports bra range used to be up to J in all sizes then they expanded to K but only in bands 34-38. So If I ever have to size up from my 32J I'd have to go to 34J? Wouldn't hurt to make 32JJ-K too? Bravissimo also often cuts some sizes at J-K in 28 or 30 band which annoys me so much. I don't say they need to offer in every model but make a few for a already hard to find size range?

  What I also despise if company praise themselves for their "large" sizes ranges. One local boutique chain here a few years ago announced a large cup range- but it was like 75-95 C-E EU size seriously, you can find a better range in a supermarket like Aldi ugh.

  Is this still the influence of +4 so they think small band sizes + "large cups" (in their world letter larger than D) - is soooo rare and no one wears those sizes???

• I totally agree. You’d think in this day and age companies would realize people come in so many shapes and sizes and not just a midrange cookie cutter size. This can be said about a lot of items in the world of undergarments and clothing. They always point out that 80% of women are wearing the wrong size and blah blah blah. Well no duh, you won’t make a size to fit them, so what are they supposed to do? So frustrating.

• I purchased a bunch, of which I have 18 I’ve kept this year. Almost all of them being Ewa Michalak BM’s. My favorite has been my BM Puder and my custom BM Garden. When I find something that fits me well I’ll buy it in almost every color. Also this year, I purchased all the matching undies as well.

• I went travelling and ended up moving countries this year, so before I left got rid of many ill-fitting bras that I should have resold or donated long ago (;

  Was interesting to pack for an extended leave though; and decide which bras to bring!

  Most that made the cut were Ewa M. and Comexim (even though the Comexims were quite heavily worn already). I figured those would be hardest to replace while abroad!

  Did find some 'gaps' in my collection/rotation so I bought a couple unlined bras on here recently (first time buying through Bratabase! Quite pleased!)

  And as my already-smallish-and-overworn Comexims got really worn out because of my smaller rotation; I did end up purchasing 3 Comexims in their BlackFriday sale.

  Those have yet to arrive!

• So I've tried the Koronkawa and the colour was really nice on 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Bm Koronkowa I sent it back because I was really wanting a green bra (and now I ended up with 3, lol!), but I actually kinda regretted sending it back. However, the pink would have the same "pop" I think. Both are good choices, and Michelle is really pretty too.

  I'd say the lace is fairly smooth under shirts. It's softer than a lot of other lace bras I've tried. Not sure how it'd be on a CHP though? BMs hug your boobs pretty well, so they are more form fitted than a Chp. It looks like the Michelle might be crafted with smoother material on the cups. You could always do the Michelle in a chp, then the Koronkawa or Roz in a SF because of the lace? If you still want the Dot red, it would probably look good as a chp too?

  If it were me, I probably wouldn't get the same bra in 2 different cuts, but that's because I'd rather have 2 unique bras to wear instead. Whatever floats your boat though, don't let me sway you!

• I have, or have had, a ton of BMs, including the Roz you're specifically curious about. The lace is pretty smooth under most tops, I don't even notice it under silk. I have sensitive skin but Ewa uses nice lace and I've never had issue with any of them being itchy. It does get pilly, though, even if you take care of it. Some get pilly and fuzzy faster than others.

  Also, wash Roz alone the first few times. It discharges a ton of extra dye at first, but doesn't lose color.

  You may like the BM if you like the SF, I don't personally find the BM to be any higher coverage than the SF but the BM is far more comfortable for me. You can return non-custom bras back to her if you don't care for them and it's actually incredibly cheap, or even free, to do so by opting into PayPal's return shipping program.

• You can have short roots but have boobs high up on your chest (or visa versa with tall roots low on your chest). I personally have short roots but they are lower on my chest.

  Tall or short roots refers to the vertical breast root. Having tall or short roots means that your breast roots (where the breast starts) is either tall (so it starts up closer to your collar bone, for example), or short roots (where it starts) is like a short ball of boob.

• You can be both, but it’s how they act in a bra that is the important part. Mine are tallish but deflated, so they act short mostly, though sometimes closed in tops will cut into them still.

• I love that they can do that. I’m mixed on my opinion of the CHP on me. I love parts of it, but some of the fit is still a bit weird on me. I’m curious to see what you go with.

• @calluna I hear ya! It's all so case by case with these handmade bras. I have resigned to the fact that each new bra is going to fit just a little differently. It's turning out to be a game of finding the cut that's going to be the most consistent from one design to another, though I don't own enough to have a firm answer yet :p. Which cut has been doing that for you?

Have I been doing Comexim all wrong?

So I've been going back and forth with this lady on abtf, she says she's a 32G-GG and wears a 75H (34:7(really 34:5) in comexim and it fits her perfectly. Huh? I have no Idea how this is possible, I'm a UK 28G and wear a 60K-65HH in comexim and it fits perfect. Could she be wearing her bra wrong?

• It’s possible that it is her preference for a looser band in which case sizing up to 75 would require a smaller cup for the same volume. I technically measure a 28G/GG though I have ribcage issues so I usually stick to 30 bands, and my fob soft tissue and functionally short boobs mean I can do with smaller cups to compensate. In Comexim, I would say that most 28 band wearers tend to stick with 60/65 depending on personal preference and 30 band users tend to be ok with 65/70. Since Comexim bands are know for being tight, a certain amount is preference. But they also don’t exactly follow the 60/28, 65/30, 70/32 system. I think that they use a hidden +4 method in their sizing. At least +2 since most people size up a band. But again, it depends on how close you are to 28. I’m more like 28.5-29” snug but someone else that is 27-27.5” probably had no problem with a true 28. Dunno if I am just rambling. 😂

• I see what you mean, I thought that was the case at first too. But 32:10 and 34:5 aren't sister sizes, even if Comexim used UK cups as she says, 32:10 and 34:7 aren't sister sizes either.

• Which Panache bra did you get?

  There are some copy cats for sure, La Isla High Impact Underwire Level 4 (A200) comes to my mind as a rip off from Panache Sport Sports Bra (5021) . Although it is differently branded.

• Also note that @Panache has had multiple tags versions in time. With multiple and different ways of converting between cups that don't match with each other. You can find some compilation of them here:

• I'm from Australia so I'm not sure if this helps but I ordered from Brastop on Dec 2nd and received it a week later, around Dec 8th(?). So it seems like a long time for you to be waiting! Is the postal service heavily affected by COVID?

  It is affected by Covid and the holidays significantly, but it seems that my order hasn't even been packaged. When I check the shipping tracking number there is nothing on it.
