Having a hard time figuring out my shape

Panache Elsa in 30J:
I filled out the bottoms of the cups and the wires were actually in my inframammary fold after scooping and swooping, I still experienced a floating gore AND quadding - that got even worse when pressing the gore down. To date it's still my second best fitting bra next to Frankenbra.

Currently my underbust measurements have me between ... a 32 band and a 30 band but due to 32J being difficult to find Im sister sizing up to a 34HH. Assuming that Frankenbra has the same measurements as the average TTS 32J, which seems accurate because I'm getting quadding in 30J but Frankenbra fits fine. 32J is 2 sizes larger than my recommended size but I havent been having much luck trying bras close to it, they all ended up being too small Ex Panache Elsa - its used and has a max stretch of 31.5in. I know I need something with projection, but the majority of my projection is at the wires and not the apex. I dont really know how else to describe how my boobs look other than a really deep bowl. They look extremely FOT but I often run into issues that someone who's FOB would experience. This was extremely evident in my EM CHP. The cups came up higher than they're supposed to, which at first glance you'd think they were too large had I not also been getting quadding + a floating gore. Without a bra on my boobs are basically on my arms but they're also close set - .5in space between where they attach on my chest. This might be because theyre also effectively a lot wider than my frame. Im not really sure why this is happening but I frequently run into the problem where I need a larger size than what my measurements indicate.

• @mayofoxx666 I would suggest going naked boobies in front of a mirror and bending over 90°. From the side you will see if your nipple points more towards your face for fob more towards your hips for fot or towards the floor for even fullness top to bottom. Even fullness can fit a bunch of different styles depending on the rest of the fit.

  Second thing you will be able to see looking down at your chest or looking front on in the mirror is if your nipples face east and west you have center full tissue if they point in towards each other outer fullness or in the middle is even fullness left to right.

  Cup height sometimes also translates to the placement of your breasts and/or your root height. Sometimes if you have firmer tissue you can see the height in relation to your collar bone. If this is not the case lay down naked boobies and hold them as if in a bra lightly if needed. If it feels like they could choke you lol or your chin touches them you have high set boobs. If not choking you but the tissue is close to your collar bone, you have tall roots. High set can cause that extra fabric at the top of large cups to be too much and if you have shorter roots or lack of side tissue for narrow roots in addition, the fabric will gape at the straps.

  The other thing I will suggest for you personally is that close set titts with shorter or high set roots do not necessarily do well with tall gores. The 4" gore of your panache is likely too tall for you. I have high set titts that are even, close set, and center full. I like a low gore despite needing a large cup. Because of my large cup companies assume I want a very tall gore but if the cups fit well and I have a tall gore i will get no tack and quadding at the gore.

  Also it may be an issue of roots. The panache 6.5" wires, you didn't mention bothering you. Perhaps it is a perfect match, but it is possible to have wide projected roots. Many times wide roots are assumed shallow verses narrow roots with more straight forward projection. It is possible you have that wider root but need projection as much as a narrow root and the bras made for that wide root automatically make it shallow cutting off the projection.

  I feel like this is what you mean for a deep bowl. You are finding bras for shallow bowls (wide shallow) or deep cups (narrow projected) instead of being able to find one for the deep bowl (wide projected).

• MissAponii Thank you! And yeah I often get the holy shit cant breathe if im lying flat on my back. Just did the leaning test and I appear to be FOB/Center full. I also noted that apparently Im pendulous but I have semi firm and full breasts. I entertained the idea that I could have immediate projection + also have wide roots but doubted myself because I'd only seen projected = narrow and wide = average - shallow. The fact that it's obvious that I have a fair bit of immediate projection I would automatically get recommended Polish bras. I noted in my EM CHP - 34GG, that I was getting quadding but I was also being pinched by the wires, they were actually quite painful on my sternum and I'm experiencing the same issue with Franken that got less intense when I moved the gore in. Once I did that the cleavage that I got from it was i n s a n e lol, Ive literally never seen my boobs do that in a bra before. It defintiely had an extreme plunge shape but, I had wrinkling near the strap, I wouldnt consider that a major fit issue though. I've noticed I get the cup coming up too high even though it's also small in balconies. And yeah I was describing my own breast shape, like I saw deep cups getting used for narrow projection but the more I actually studied my shape, especially when supported, they're definitely more bowl shaped. I did order a 34HH Panache Envy a few days ago which has a width of 6.9in - entirely because Im tired of back pain and it was only $12. The wires on the elsa dont really bother me much but I also dont know what a properly fitting bra feels like so yeah lol. Would you have any recommendations for me to try?

• Hah! I've only got one top and two one pieces, one which is sized to my bra. I swim regularly in summer too. I ought to keep an eye out for another. Can you also wear them as bras?

• I have far too little bra-sized swimsuits, actually. It irks to me to get something I'll need for a few weeks one time in the year that'll potentially not fit the next year. The last swimsuit I bought was a 30GG maybe 3 years ago which is, of course, too small for me now. Maybe now that I'm pretty firmly out of my adolescence I'll get another one (next time public swimming pools function in a meaningful fashion....)

• I just noticed I’ve been on here 9 years. I can definitely see how my boobs and body have changed over the years. My bra size has fluctuated along with my weight. I definitely noticed a difference in bra fit since having my last child three years ago, plus I’m 40 now so that has its own changes lol. Having this site has definitely made the growing pains much easier over the years.

• Yes! I remember the day I realised that my hard-earned well-fitting bras 'suddenly' fit no longer. I was bummed and think I quit wearing bras for a couple years haha. Think I've been on this site 10 years now, I have some Freya longlines coming in a better fitting size and I am stoked. Helps me to let go of the ones that no longer fit.

• Have you checked your email (and junk folders)? Sometimes you have to pay seperately if there are changes to the order. If you're not sure just email them again and ask.

• Just wanna say: I really love it when people want to pay their just fees instead of being like 'hey I lucked out, they didn't charge me'. So kudos to you!

  And yes I agree, I almost felt bad for ordering during their sale - and also using multiple alteration options. Thought I heard a rumor years ago of Comexim wanting to start charging for alterations (which seems very reasonable to me), but apparently most are still free! Kind of justified it for myself by ordering 3 sets instead of 2... (;

  For your fees; you can also wait 'til you receive the items - and then pay the fee if the longline did get done?

  Anyway, yay for you for being fair - and fingers & toes crossed that you'll receive the longline!!

• As someone who lives in Canada, I've never actually tried anything from Bravissimo. For some reason I'm stuck in the thinking that their stuff would be wide and shallow. Whether it's true or not, I don't know. But I feel like they're putting out some of the cutest bralettes and swimwear in recent memory, so every time I go to their website, I'm always tempted lol. It's really just the prices that deter me.

• So i am waiting for my return to arrive to them, with my Allie in it, and waiting for my Gemma in 34J and Flora to arrive to me, and then I guess I get my Allie back or a new one.. I forgot to mark my parcel as "returned goods" but since it's within EU still that should be fine I hope. I'm nervous lol. don't wanna lose like £70+my Allie in the mail.

  but.. depending on brexit I kinda feel like I have to break up with bravissimo.. I am not going to order anything from them if I have to pay import fees and stuff sadly. I'll stick to european stores if that happens. sad face.

• Can totally relate to 2020 being a raging dumpster fire floating up sh!t creek without a paddle lol. I’m the same way. Love to bra shop and would much prefer bras and undies over anything else. Hope all your bras fit amazingly well.

• @happy2brashop thank you and I hope atleast the end can get a wee bit better for you. I will upload either way I told myself it helps me as well as others so I can keep a log lol. This website is incredibly helpful, it can just take time for some things. I went and looked to see if anyone had bought the bras so I can see how pretty they are in person 😅 i needed a way to stay on budget because if I had the funds i would have bought more.

• I ordered my Andromeda from BoB. The tag inside says 30GG, which is a 65J had I ordered directly from Comexim. Hope that helps.

• Thank you, Happy2BraShop . I picked up Andromeda in their 30FF and 30G. It isn't final sale so worth trying both. Hopefully, one fits me well enough. I picked up the Lilly too since with their 25% off code it was close to Comexim's sale price.

• I always prefer listing through bratabase, but I do also sell bras through bra swap on reddit. I just link my bratabase listings with the bra name and cost with a short and sweet blurb about shipping from canada and using PayPal.

• @Wilderness1 I do the same thing, only I use imgur for pictures on r/braswap (don't want creeps seeing my boobs on fit checks...). I also list them for cheaper on bratabase because I love this community so much, and I have never been asked to wear a bra before shipping it on here, lol.

• I have never dealt with Comexim but, if you specify how much you want (lower gore by 1 inch, straps moved in by 1 inch, etc), the chances they would do them all should be quite high. Don't make them guess.

• I have a Beauty 3hc, which is a fabulous fit. My Mimi and Hera are both way too shallow in the cup. I placed an order this morning for the Scottie, Eris and Gloria all in a 3hc with a norrowed gore. I did not ask for the extra depth at first, until the postie arrived today with my Hera! I quickly emailed Joanna and she has confirmed they will add the exta 1cm depth. I have found Comexim very easy to contact and my alterations have all been confirmed back to me. I just hope it is the depth thats the issue and not something else. My beauty and puime are such a good fit so I am conviced its just the depth and not the size. I think its just too risky not to ask for the extra depth, cookies can be used if it comes up too deep/big, where as if its too shallow, nothing can be done 😬 bending the wires does not help

• I can agree about Comexim alterations being tricky; as in - it being hard to determine whether they've actually been 'done'.

  I've only ever placed 1 custom order; for 4 3HC bras with alterations, in 2016. I did ask for a lowered and narrowed/overlapping gore. The bras that I received had no actual 'overlapping' wires, they only touched at the very top of the gore, if that makes sense? But with the gores being pretty low; I don't think bra-construction-wise there would have been a way to make them actually overlap, without causing weird folds or double wires.

  Later on, I've also tried their plunge bras (unaltered, through resellers LaceLingerie and BreakOutBras) and those gores actually look the same to me as the 3HC's.

  So yeah, no clue if (and to what extent) gore alteration requests are actually being done (;

• Prehaps the gore crossing at the top is standard? I will keep asking just in case though 😂 I am loving the fit anyway and I have no pain from the gore, just a small amount of twisting, which does not really bother me anyway. After years of putting up with bad fits and pain, its a revelation to order 3 bras and have 2 amazing, comfortable fits 😊

• I'm not a big fan of Comexim - I gave up on them since the construction is too weak for my boobs. Avoid Jennifer (if that one is still around) I had 75M and it felt super weak. Fingers crossed the 32K will work better for you :)

• I would email them directly and ask so that you know you're getting what you need.
