Hi ladies! I'm looking for a swimming suit. This will be my first swimwear purchase since the birth of my baby girl. My breasts are very pendulous and need lots of shaping and support! My bra size is 32FF. I dont have any stores near by where I will be able to go try on, so I'm going to be ordering online. Any advice on which style top will give me the best support/shape would be wonderful! Thanks!

If anyone wants anything I've got listed at the price I've listed them at, now is the time. A few of these I've been holding onto way too long, so in a few days, I'm going to start the very annoying process of ebay listings (actually, I'm listing things now, but have left bras for the bottom of the ... pile, since I have a few up in the air, at the moment). Given ebay fees, and their requirements for auction vs buy it now, the prices might go up a little bit once I do, SO if I've got anything listed that you want, now is the time.
Save me the trouble of wasting an evening listing these things on ebay. lol.

I'd totally help you out if they were a bit smaller but sorry :-( I've got a ton listed on eBay too but most of what's selling from me are my VS bras back from my brainwashed bra-size era. I've relisted my Juna 4 times now. Chances are it would fit someone who looks at the "28FF" tag & thinks it's totally the wrong size but can't really bravangelize via eBay can we lol. And nobody's biting on my Parfait Charlotte either. So frustrating!
lol. I'm not too worried about some that I haven't had long, but it's totally time to list the fantasie esme, for example. Nobody seems to want esme because of the minimizing qualities. The ones I've been sitting on for AGES, it's really time.
And, that random 36D from when I was trying to get mom out of 36Bs...that totally won't sell around here. haha.
I know a lot of us shop ebay, so I'll just hope when I ebay them, someone who has missed my posts in the various bra groups has a watch for that size, or something.
I just know in the past I've had people ask me about things like 'I've had my eye on this for a while...' Once I list on ebay, I know, with buy it now needing to be 30% higher than starting bid, the prices are likely to go up a little, and I'm ebay lazy. I have a mountain of books and dvds that I need to give an ebay chance too, before I donate, but I am so bad about the minutiae of life. I just need a sidekick to do all of my ebay listings, and household chores, so I can focus on the fun stuff, like weird experiments, art projects, and talking about bras. :D

I am getting quite frustrated now with adding a new bra. I just got a bra from a local company that wasn't on the bratabase list yet (triola) and I'm actually pretty thrilled by it. It's one of those old manufacturers that don't exactly have a good reputation especially due to adhering to outdated fitting methods, but they now started ... a new line with really stunning bras in sizes I can actually wear and the new bra is incredibly comfortable. So I added a new brand and new model, put in the size, it asked where I bought it and because my country wasn't included, I naturally ticked "other place" - and it gives me an error saying that the size is invalid (70J - that's 32:10). What am I doing wrong?

I'm sorry about this, it is a "bug" of the site. When creating new brands they get creating expecting a US/UK band size until we manually configure it accordingly, which I just did. Please try again?

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I've been having an issue trying to upload pictures through the mobile site recently. I've been using my phone to take the pictures but after I take the picture the site will suddenly reload erasing all the pictures on the list I've already taken and I have to start ... all over. I've been having to take a picture, submit, and then take the other one, submit, and so on and so forth. I've uploaded pictures through this method before and never had this problem so thought I'd check to see if its a site issue or something on my end.

I haven't heard this before. Do you have more information. What phone and browser you use?
That said, I know there have been other kind of uploading problems but different from what you mention (uploads being slow and timeout, or errors with certain files)
I have an HTC One M8 and I've been using firefox as my mobile browser. Now that I think about it I havnt tried to use chrome. I'll try that and see if it makes a difference.

So I've been searching for decent places for bras and I've heard some people suggest ebay. I've searched up my size (30FF) and found a lot of decent prices but I'm a little cautious when buying things on ebay as they can sometimes be knockoffs. I don't trust reviews left on the ebay profiles as well as lots of ebay sellers have been known buy good reviews.

What did you alter the band to?
At that time I had had to wear strapless and all I can get was that one at that time the cup was perfect but band was huge so I decide to alter it
I'm just wondering about the parameters, I guess. A bunch of bras to try on arrived last week, and after faithfully entering the data, BB pretty much told me every one didn't fit. Now, on most of them I agree, but on a couple—the Jeanie, for instance, and the Patsy—I'm not so sure. Is this based on the bras that ... I've said *do* fit or measurements or all? Mostly I'm nosy (and puzzled, okay). Thanks, I hope you all don't mind my asking!
As an aside to make this mildly worth everyone's while, my husband's reaction to seeing photos of 'the girls' online as I responded to fit issue responses was rather entertaining. "...Is that you?!" IRL I'm quite bashful!

If you report ANY fit issue on the "how it fits" section, Bratabase will indicate that the bra does not fit. I see that on your Patsy you indicated that the gore is a little wide/the cups are to separate for your boobs. That is why the bra "doesn't fit."
I just gave away my (CLOSED) 30B - Claudette » Sophia Minx Sweetheart Demi Bra (101025) (Give away) because the straps would fall down my shoulders all day long. I indicated that the straps are too far apart on my "how it fits" but for some reason BB marked that the bra fit me?? So I don't know.
^I thought some fit issues, when you mark your bra´s fit, don´t count. For example in your case the strap thing. Perhaps Jj could verify this?

After some encouragement from you lovely ladies I went ahead and gave comexim an other try after the dissapointing fit in the joy longline. I have ordered no less than 3 bras from them that I am on my way to pick up right now. This time I opted for 60G since it felt scary to order the 55 band ... again and not having the option to return it. If the band is too lose in these I can confidently excange them for the custom size. Yay!

They fit! Yes the band could be tighter but it is firm enough that the over all fit is good.
I bought the basic bra, the vivien and the tropical garden. They are very similar but the vivien jas a slightly longer band and the cups seem slightly larger as well but that might be caused by the band. I have to decide if I should excange it for a 55H..
I will post reviews when I have worn them a while.

I just made some changes to the site to update with upcoming changes on Google's login system.
In theory, you should not experience any differences from your regular flow.
You will get asked to grant permissions to Bratabase so we can have your email. We will ask for the minimum that Google allows us (Baseic profile, Email and Login).

yeah, i wanted to comment on the blogger that has the breast reduction story, but i don't have a facebook login or google login or any of the other ones so i couldn't comment.

This change that I announced here is independent from that.
The situation with the blog's comments is that they are ran by a separate service (Disqus.com). I do that because I wanted the blog's comments not to require to have a Bratabase account, so allowing non logged comments would lead to tons of spam and filtering work, so I opted to use a third party service to take care of that. If you want, you are welcome to create a Disqus.com account and you should be able to use that on any other blog/website that also uses that for their comments...

I am 100% sure we've talked about this before Jj but... do we really have to measure from the tip of the underwire to the tip of the gore when measuring cup width? I am getting a bunch of things saying my cup width is too small on few of my bras but that is because they have ... such low gores I measured straight across. I don't want to say I'm 110% sure if I am doing it wrong though, and messing up the measurements. =/ I think I have been measuring this way almost the whole time too...

I measure between the tips of the two wires, I thought that is what the picture in the guide said, is that what you do?
No, I felt that low gores threw off the cup width measurements, making them seem wider than they were. I may have actually measured some the way the pic said, forgotten, then made up my own logical conclusion, then I got a few flagged bras and revisited the pic and realized it conflicted with how I decided to do it.

I do love Olivia, but I love the new EM and Comexim seasonal arrivals I've seen online more. I think I will hold out for the blue colorway later this year, as it's definitely worth the repurchase.

At 32FF you are well within the size range of the main full bust lines--Freya, Panache and so on. They all have plentiful swim options. How your boobs look without a supportive bra makes no difference if you are in the right size, so just focus on finding one that fits and you will look as perky as any 17 year old!
If your (non swim) bras are not giving you the support and uplift you desire you may want to double check that you are actually in the right size before you go ahead and start ordering swimsuits. Post a fitting request here with photos and people will help out with advice and suggestions for other sizes or models of bra!
Agreed - there are plenty of options. As a general rule, I find whatever bra brands work best for you, those are the same brands that are going to be the best in swimwear, since they have a similar construction. So think of your most supportive bra - whatever brand it is, that's probably the best place for you to start shopping.
