I wish this bra came in like a 28FF1/2 or something lol. My 28G is roomy at the top of the cup when I'm not on my period, whereas this blue baby is constantly about to quad. I also feel like the wires are stretched a bit too much and I should *technically* be wearing this bra w an extender. Alas - whatever.
Overall, though, great colorway, construction, and fit. I get AMAZING cakes on a plate cleavage in the Marcie and it is just. UGH. Chef's kiss.
About me: 26FF/G, medium projection, even fullness, short roots, close set, average width.
Recently my boobs have changed shape from very FOB and projected to even fullness with wider roots - I didn't even know this was possible. But I'm looking for a seamless t-shirt bra works with this shape because my wacoal is getting quadding on the top/center area. Unfortunately, it didn't work out!
The construction: The cups, band and elastic are super smooth, very nice feeling material. The only not so nice part about this bra is the strap material. They are skinny and kind of sharp along the edges. The foam in the cups is quite thick ...and firm, not soft or elastic. Very opposite of Comexim which I am used to now. They are the type of cups that snap back into shape with an audible pop if you press them. It's not necessarily a good or bad thing, just different.
The fit: This bra only fits me as a strapless π If I put on the bra and leave the straps hanging, it's not so bad! If I put on the straps, they are so wide set that if they go vertically up, they are off my shoulders. I have to angle them sharply inwards in to sit on my shoulders, causing the strap to rotate and warp the cup, causing gapping. Other than that: the band runs small, stretching to 27" which fits me well (might be because this is a black bra), the cup depth and height are good, and the gore is too wide, causing the wires to sit on my boobs and cause gapping (but if the bra had otherwise fit I'd be ok overlapping the gore myself). Amazing fit, especially with the overlapped gore! Very bright, fun, neon colour and pattern https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra is close to perfect for me! It runs really small in the cup (I come out as a 30E in the abtf calculator) and this one is still too closed-off at the top. Maybe it's an issue with my (maybe) tall breast roots. It comes up pretty high in the armpits and chafes a bit when moving around, so it wouldn't be the best for shorter women I think. The underwires trace my IMF perfectly, and the band is just the right size/firmness. I worry that the 28G will trade the quadding issue for too-wide wires, but we'll see.
This bra is so freaking adorable! The berry pattern has me melting! However, it's too small https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra is absolutely adorable, I love the bow embroidery on the top part of the cups! The cups give me the slightest quadboob, so I haven't decided if I'm going to take off the tags and keep it or not.
My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.
This bra has an inner cup in a balconnet cut, with an overlaying lace cup cut like a sports bra or bralette. It's slightly minimizing, but still gives a fairly rounded shape. The cups themselves (under the lace) are pretty projected. The inner cups are made of see-through tight mesh, and the upper piece of the inner mesh has stretch material. The outter lace extends up the thicker front part of the straps. I measured the straps around where they'd land on my shoulder, but the back of the bra has a regula adjustable strap that connects to ...the front unadjustable lace strap. The band is very snug, and I might even wear this with an extender for a while until it breaks in a bit more. It has 2 x 3 sets of hooks. The bra is really good quality, but I wouldn't say it's terribly comfortable (except the wide straps are very comfy). The material is a bit scratchy feeling, sort of like the Marcie. In fact the shape of the inner cup is like the marcie too, but with a stretchy top piece. Read more 88 more words
This bra is so freaking cute! I love how overwhelmingly fun it is. It fits well except for the top of the cup, it digs in and I get slight quadboob on my right boob and sever quadboob on the left. My nipples and my puffy areolas sit right where the top lace meets the bottom of the cup, creating a bulge in the otherwise round shape of the cup. The band fits comfortably, if not a teensy bit tight. I'm going to hold onto this one in case I drop 5 lbs.
Adorable bra, just a little bit too small for me but it's not noticeable because of the short cups. It has just the right amount of padding for a t shirt bra. It goves a rounded shape.
This bra is beautiful, but a total shape mismatch for me. The cups are set very far apart from one another, to the extent that when I put it on I am not even technically wearing the bra. The stitching quality is poor, with loose threads around the underwire at purchase. The straps have beautiful reflective shimmer on the tops and not on the side against your skin, which is a plus.
I tried this bra in my usual size 28F first and found it slightly too small. I was initially worried that a 28FF would be too big and it did look kind of big, but when I put it on the fit is decent. My shape is projected, fuller on top and centre, with narrow and tall roots, soft, self supporting tissue and super close-set. This bra has deep cups and is rather open on top even though the top lace section is not stretchy at all. The wires are a bit too wide for my very narrow roots but not significantly. Like all balconettes, the gore is too high and wide for me but I'm going to overlap the wires. Hopefully this will also make the wires sit narrower on the side. I would prefer more side/armpit coverage but everything else fits fine so I won't be greedy!
I was disappointed it didn't fit. Huge quad boob but orange-in-a-glass style. I still don't quite know how to describe my shape. Straps were short and even loosened down to the ring they were still short. Also hurt my back, I remember this style giving me migraines once upon a time. The gore is so delicate and lovely the overall shape on me was minimizing, almost flat. Returning!
I received this from Ebay on auction for cheap af. Shipping was stupid expensive though. The bra arrived and the parcel smelled like an entire bottle of fabric softener.
It was overwashed and stretched out, discolored pink from original nude, and reeked (I mean absolutely reeked) of cheap soap or fabric softener. It was a bad choice to buy it but I learned that one does not buy used bras from Ebay unless they're unopened mint condition!
So, since I couldn't touch or keep it anywhere without everything giving me a migraine, I cut it open and saved the wires. Good riddance. If anyone wants 28FF Cleo Marcie wires, hmu.
oh god UGGGGH I am so sorry! At least it was very cheap. Yeah, I do not buy clothes on ebay unless they are brand new with tags.
I suspect that the stench you thought was fabric softener was either from one of those no-rinse lingerie wash products--some of them are fragranced, and if the user takes that no rinse approach to mean they NEVER have to do a proper wash and rinse, it can really build up... or else a strong fabric deodorizer spray (in the USA they often use the brands Glade or Febreze, not sure if those exist in Norway but I imagine there are other brands there). Probably used because the owner was a heavy smoker. Either way yuck yuck yuck.
I find no-rinse soaps/wash producys to be such a strange concept! I'd never heard of them before I got into bras and even then I still don't know why you don't rinse out the soap. Alfhajdhdb never washing and rinsing your bras properly :s I can't imagine not rinsing the soap and grime out. And I also can't imagine using a deodorizer on fabric?? Like why don't you jusf wash it?? Bottom line is yeah, gross. But I super appreciate your comment because I felt so bad about it π
corvidsandtea unfortunately if clothes or other items are exposed to enough cigarette smoke, even a good wash will not truly get rid of the smell. Plus, if someone's whole house, hands, etc. reek of smoke then by the time the bra is dried after washing it probably picks up more smoke smell... And the no-rinse concept disturbs me too! But people get scared by the marketing which claims bras are SOOOO FRAGILE and cannot be washed normally... To be fair those "soak" washes still dissolve and remove a lot of dirt. When people try them, they are usually impressed with the result i.e. a bra that looks, smells and feels clean. After that they are reassured so they just continue using it. And the manufacturers aren't very clear/honest about the fact that there are consequences if you never wash conventionally.
This bra is very comfortable! My only issue with it is that the sides of the cips dig in a little when I use the J clip, and I think the straps are places too far apart. Other than that I found it very agreeable to wear as it's comfy and gives a nice round shape. I would not recommend this bra to anyone with pretty projected breasts as it is quite shallow, but I can get away with it.
The best fitting bra I've tried so far. My only complaint is that the underwires poke into my armpits a little, and the edges of the cup sit very close to my armpit, so the cup comes forward every time I move my arms. However I have very narrow shoulders, so this is a frequent problem I have.
I love the fit of this bra, but am not sold on the colour. The hot pink straps are just too much. They are so vivid and don't compliment the beautiful pale lilac colour of the bra. I do love the bright yellow stitching and ribbon accent - wishing that the straps were this colour instead. I also speculate the pink straps would be highly visible under any light coloured top.
Despite my hatred for the pink, this bra is super comfortable and appears to fit quite well. The band is firm and very comfortable. The depth and width of the cup are pretty close to perfect. My only qualm is that it gives a slightly pointed shape that I have not experienced before with Cleos. Not sure if it is a dealbreaker, I will have to try it on with some clothes and see how it looks.
I guess maybe your boobs are too close to wear a balconette, I suggest you to try some wired triangle bras or polish brands plunges.
