As with most bras, it's both too wide and too far apart for me. Still, it's comfortable and those issues are not a problem for me. The fabric at the bottom is a little loose, but I don't know if that means there's not enough projection or too much. Either way, it does not bother me at all. I don't like how sheer it is, but the fabrics are okay. It looks nice on, as well.
The straps aren't fully adjustable. I don't know why I didn't even realize this. I own three of this bra. I wore them before my weight gain...and with multiple band extenders when I hoped it was "just a phase" from the pandemic. Well, here's the data anyway. This bra doesn't fit me, but that's not surprising. I ordered a bunch of bras in the wrong size, but this section still needs more data. I am a bit surprised that the band is as tight as it is, but I think that HAS to be because the cup is just soooo small on me. Quad-boob hell. The Elomi Kim used to be my go-to, so I'd love to try it in a larger cup size than this. Unfortunately, it's not in stock right now, so I'll have to wait to see how that goes, but in the meantime, here are the measurements for the measurement gods.
First of all, this color (Pansy) is just such a lovely shade of purple. It's very jewel toned. If amethyst is your vibe, this colorway is for you. I don't think this cut has enough immediate projection for me, unfortunately. The material is a bit rough, as well. Has J-hooks. That's pretty cool for the narrow shoulder havers. High roots and narrow shoulders, get a buddy to help you adjust the straps because otherwise, it's gonna be a lot of taking it off and putting it back on. I think this one is a pass from me, but it didn't fit in the first place, so that's an easy pass (though, again, it's a VERY pretty color. bummer).
The straps aren't fully adjustable. This size is incorrect for me. I love Elomi bras. The fabrics don't irritate my skin, they lay nice and smooth under clothes (until the top stretch lace starts to pill T-T). I have to find this in the correct size. For me, this one is wrinkling under the arm, the wires are too wide. My tissue is getting compressed because it's not deep enough & overall doesn't have enough volume. The side picture really demonstrates the problem. The wires are also too tall, which does not bode well for going up in the cup, but maybe it won't be too bad since I'll also be going down a band size.
I love the look and feel of this bra...if only it fit. It's terribly unfortunate that they don't make this longline version in a larger band/cup than 40H. It's a beautiful peachy pink. It's definitely sheer enough to see nipples, so if that works or doesn't work for you, now you know. I like the longline style of this bra, but the wires are a bit high on the sides for me, however, I have high roots, so, I'm not a great barometer for average root havers. It's also not deep enough in the cup for the amount of projection I have, but the cup isn't even the correct size, so the depth issue is only going to be exacerbated.
There wasn't space to include a custom measurement, but from the top of the gore to the bottom of the longline lace is 15cm/6" & from the top of the wing to the bottom of the longline lace is 18.5cm/7.25". These are the measurements for the size 40H.
This pattern is so cute. The projection actually feels pretty good, even though this is clearly a smaller cup size than I need. It really makes me reconsider all the other bras that I ordered up multiple cups to try to fix my projection issue. I am a bit worried that the gore might not tack after I get a bigger cup because the gore is so high, but I'm hoping it's just lifting because of the cup fit, it's just lifted more than others. I wish the wires were a bit more narrow. I'm trying to steer away from going Polish, but mostly out of burnout from so many recently ordered bras that don't fit— and no access to in-person try-ons where I live in the US. I'm a big fan of Elomi bras and this one feels a lot like the Kim I used to wear before pandemic weight gain.

I hated this bra when I tried it in when I was pregnant (in a different size). Now that I’m postpartum and 7 months in, I notice it actually fits quite well. The most exciting part of this bra is that it’s almost like a *real bra* instead of one of those flimsy wireless ones that have 0 support. Unfortunately, 32H is too small. I slightly quad on my larger side, but it also gives the bullet bra effect. The bottom is also waaay wrinkled, so I’m sure I need more projection. I’m hoping the next size up will be a winner for me because I’m so ready to be back in a bra with an underwire.
In terms of quality/comfort/appearance…this is an Elomi bra. It’s fantastically comfortable, looks great, and the quality can’t be beat. I’m not a super fan of the color, but it also comes in black which is more my style.
This is going to be a lot. I'm going to start with the swim top off of me and looking at mainly the bra aspects of the swim top, then go into what makes it more swim top-y, and then whatever else needs to be said while wearing it. Two layer cup, one an outer typical swimsuit fabric layer and an inner very slightly stretchy but still sturdy mesh layer, the inside mesh layer is a 3 vertical part cup construction. Straps feel like what I remember feeling some sort of neoprene material, similar to what I think a wet suit feels like, and its really nice, feels super ...sturdy but also has a lot of stretch, no irritating extra frills. One plastic clasp at the back that was very easy for me to hook, the band is very stretchy, there is a side support section that appears to have three layers-swimsuit fabric on the inside and outside with something non stretchy in the middle, the other portion of the band is made up of two layers- outer swimsuit fabric and inner black mesh but much stretchier than the mesh in the cup. On the inside of the cup the wires are covered in the swimsuit fabric as the outer layer, i don't know whats inside but it feels like a typically padding level for a wire. Straps have the typical bra strap adjustment and are attached. The swimsuit fabric is sewn in a way that instead of attaching to the mesh at the "top" of the cup and potentially allowing for the mesh to show, the mesh cup is about an inch shorter than the cup itself and the swimsuit fabric in the pattern is used to make up that extra inch.
Now the GORE. It's like nothing I've ever seen but it works! The actual gore of the bra of the swimsuit lays flat is is very bra like, however this swimsuit model is designed to look more bandeau and the less bra. I has a gathering in the middle between the boobs, we'll get to that. When you are wearing this bra and look down at your chest the gore will be tacking (if it fits) but there is fabric that extends horizonally forward so that the swimsuit fabric can look flatter from the front. Looking down it looks similar to this OVO If each boob is an O the bottom of the V is where the gore tacks to my chest and the top of the V would have fabric going straight across, I think it doesn't go quite straight across but it keeps the swimsuit from looking to bra like. I don't know how to totally explain what is happening here but basically there's a little strong you can tug on to make the top lower and more scrunched in the middle or loosen to make it flatter. You'll have to look at the pictures because I can't think of a better way to explain it.
While wearing: I have never really noticed wire flexibility in a bra before, I've heard it discussed briefly but didn't have the bandwidth to understand but this bra has a wildly (and wonderfully?) flexible wire, flexes in all dimensions. I checked a few bras near me and they felt like sturdy wires so I grabbed the other swim top I got and it felt pretty flexible too, not quite as much but its in a padded cup so I assumed there's less allowance for flexibility. Another thing, I don't even know how or why or if its a pro or con but whenever I grab my boobs while I'm wearing this it feels like there's removable padding in it, truly don't know why but it's kind of nice. maybe its just sturdy and because its not a single layer cup like most others I try on the sturdiness of the underlayer combined with the stretchiness of the outer layer is giving this effect. I know this doesn't fit perfect on me, the wires sit a little low but god it is so comfortable! Typically with all of the bras I've tried on my arm and upper body movement is restricted, painful, uncomfortable, or moving makes something hurt really bad or stop fitting right, but with this I can flail my arms around with NO problems! Which is great since I'm actually going to use this for swimming like for exercise and not laying around tanning (I only burn) or just sitting in hot water talking to people or reading a book. I honestly can't believe this is so comfortable! Is it the wires? Or do I just need to buy another one and make it suitable for everyday wear? Until recently I have only worn Elomi bras but this most recent attempt at finding a bra that fits I learned more about my shape and learned elomi has very tall cups and I have short roots, I thought strap gap was going to be a given but I've actually found a couple bras that almost don't have strap gap and surprisingly this is one of them! There is a gap but it is small. On top of that I think all or at least most bras so far have caused a varying amount of pain in the part of the cup thats in the armpit, some extremely and some manageable but this doesn't hurt at all and I've been wearing it for at least 20 minutes and there is only a faint line where that part it, usually that's where the deepest and reddest and longest lasting marks are after I take a bra off!
I also wore this swimming right after I wrote most of this and it was great! It did start to hurt after a while in typical (for me) bra fashion but no major pain. It was easy to get off while wet. It worked great! Even though it doesn't technically "fit" I love it, definitely more comfortable than many bras I've tried on. Does hurt a bit after hours but not all that bad and it doesn't hurt or impede swimming at all. Read more 916 more words
I love this bra. It is so comfortable, but I should’ve sized up to the 34HH. I bought this a while ago when my regular size was 34H/36GG. I’m now more comfortable in 34HH/J or 36H/HH
