My F's in the regular Deco were starting to fit funny. When I bought my first one (Nude color, Spring 2009) I noticed there was a crease in the bottom of the cup. I always thought it was a style flaw, and it never was a problem until recent when my other 3 were doing it as well but much worse (because the Nude color is really a quarter size bigger in cup than the others since the ...dye shrank them). With suggestions on here I ordered this a cup size larger. I was worried it would be gigantic but when I opened the box yesterday I knew it would fit. I tried it on and the cups were perfect! No dent, no crease, no overspill on the sides or tops, the shape was now more rounded and less pointy. I tried on one of my F's to be sure and there was definitely a difference. And I wore it out last night, no problems whatsoever! I forgot it was even there! =D I'm one of those women who can get away with wearing a size bigger in band due to comfort and health reasons. This has 2" of negative ease around my 26" ribcage (measured loose. Pulled super tight and no air I'm 23.75"), so size 28 fits. Someone had made a comment on Freya's FB page about this particular bra running too large in the band. I do not find that to be the case. At it's maximum stretch it's only 28.5", so this runs true to size in band. If you stretch it more than that it ruins the integrity and shape of the bra, so I have no idea what that person was talking about...
Pros: -Smooth, seamless cups provide rounded shape and modesty. -Band runs true to size. And there are 2 layers of fabric both on the side wings and back band, with the wings being non-stretch. I think this helps it to not stretch out so much as the others because of the stretch lace and matching Lycra underneath. It also makes it thicker so to me it supports better. -Cute detailing all throughout. The band is full lace and there is a picot lace trim along the top and bottom of band, as well as straps. -The color matches the orange/red detail on the Ivy Longline, so instead of 2 sets, I really have 4 to mix and match =) -Fabric and straps are both comfortably. Lace is not itchy.
Cons: -My boobs are a little far apart, about 2 fingers width at the top and they're kind of splayed I guess, so I don't get cleavage in this size. I do with the F, but I also get overspill. This isn't a huge problem for me since I don't wear lowcut tops, but for others with a similar shape it may be, if that's the look you want.
No other complaints. I love this bra!! =) Read more 408 more words
I love it! great fit, sits flush to sternum and cups give a flattering, uplifted shape. This peach-pink nude nearly disappears against my pale, neutral toned skin as an added bonus! The structure of the cups is nice, it molds well while still being quite stiff.
The straps on this are quite wide set, which is good for me as I have wide, square shoulders, but it is something to consider. I might consider a 28 band in this, as I did have to move a column in within a couple weeks – that just seems a bit fast to me.
This poor bra - i look at it now and have no idea how i thought it fitted my boobs! it is a lovely colour (i have the cherry red one) and is very smooth underclothes. However, i could never get the fab cleavage everyone talks about with this bra, and as such i never really like it. It is only now that i realize it was not the bra, but me trying to cram too big boobs into it!
The band is very stretchy indeed.
It started to fray quite soon after buying it but maybe that's because i was putting pressure on it in odd places?
Color: Charcoal (measurements below for this color only)
Stretched Band: 29" Band Length: 24" Cup Width: 5.25" Cup Depth: 8.5" Wire Length: 8.25" Cup Seperation: 1" Center Gore Height: 1.75" Wing Height: 3.5" Strap width: 0.75" Hooks: 2
Pros: - I love the color, it looks great with a tan! And the little faux shell buttons are a nice touch. - Seamless and modest, I don't have to worry about showthrough or bumps from embroidery or the edges showing under clothes. - Quality seems to be pretty high. Nothing falling apart yet.
Cons: - Band runs a little large so it feels loose and I have to readjust throughout the day. - Minor differences in measurements between the 4 colors I have, this one is like a combination of the Nude and Black. Whis there was better consistancy in this brand.
Color: Black (measurements below for this color only)
Stretched Band: 28.5" Band Length: 24" Cup Width: 5.25" Cup Depth: 8.5" Wire Length: 8.5" Cup Seperation: 1" Center Gore Height: 1.875" Wing Height: 3.625" Strap Width: 0.75"
Pros: -T-shirt bra -Conceals -Seamless and smooth -Supportive
Cons: -The band runs pretty true to size, save by a half inch, so for some this might be considered too loose.
*Update - Nov, 2011: This has been fitting a little better than when I first bought it. New, it was too stiff and gave me headaches, but after a few wears and a wash or two in the machine it's softened up, but it still slides around on the middle and larger closures.
This bra is gorgeous. The magenta color looks amazing with the turquoise and navy accents. At first glance it almost looks like the colors clash, but it really does look interesting and fun.
However, the matching shorts aren't the same exact shade of magenta, which made me a little uncomfortable to keep this as a set.
The bra didn't fit anyway, so there were no further questions on whether or not I should return it. The band felt nice and snug, but the cups were just way too small. In fact, they were the smallest Freya cups I have tried to date. I had severe quadraboob in this bra. I usually have issues with straps being too far apart on bras as well, but this one didn't seem as bad as some others. I like how the straps are wider.
The shape was rather pointy as well, and I'm learning that's just how Freya bras are. I may try this again in a larger size and hopefully find some matching shorts that are actually the same color.
I REALLY wanted this to work. I have been looking online for a soft cup bra -- not because I'm pregnant, just because I want a comfy bra to wear around the house in the evenings and on the weekends (I can't stand wearing underwired bras all day long).
Well, this one was just okay. My main complaints were that the center gore didn't lay flat and my boobs still touched in the middle, and the shape was not as uplifted as the picture (in fact, my breasts were pointed downwards, something I had never experienced before!) If it weren't for the downward pointing shape, I could have lived with the fact that my breasts still touched in the middle. I'm not sure if a larger cup size would have made a difference or not. I adjusted the straps unreasonably tight just to see if it helped, and it didn't.
Other than that, it's pretty cute for a soft cup bra. Just didn't work for me.
The band fits perfectly, and this is the first bra I've ever tried where I wasn't spilling out of the tops of the cups. The wires sit nicely as well.
However, the shape is a little too separated and pointy for my taste. Also, the straps are just entirely too far apart. They're so far that the edge of the cups rubs against my arms because of how I have to push the straps inward to keep them on my narrow shoulders. Other than that, I could have lived with the shape because of how comfortable the bra is in other ways, but I just can't handle the pressure against my arms due to the straps.
I really like this bra, however, at first I didn't think it fit because it took some adjusting and the band seemed long. Although lightly "padded" there is no thick foam or anything. It is definitely a push-up but pretty comfortable. You can see the vertical seams through clothing, but not more-so than other seamed bras.
The cups are massive!! At least 2 sizes too big i think ... they also get a crease in the base - maybe because they are too big and my tissue can't fill them out.
The back is firm and has 4 rows of hooks to keep it in place. I like this feature, because it helps to safeguard against discomfort. it has silicone around the wings to keep it in place, but does not have this on the top of the cups, which i think it would benefit from.
It is very easy to wear under clothes, and even though it is too big, the cup has enough shape that it is not noticeable under clothes. the problem, to my mind, is that it creates quite an east - west look.
I would tell a friend (or even an enemy) with similar boobs to avoid this bra like the plague. I think it would fit someone with boobs that sit on their chest with no "escapees" to the side perfectly, but for me with boobs that tend to flee to my armpits this just doesn't work. And that's not even getting started on the strap placement (too wide for my ultra narrow shoulders), or the digging center gore. Also, I recommend double checking the band size (definitely don't size up!) when I bought it, the band was perfect, and it's stretched out now to where it's just loose. Your mileage may vary, of course.
Recommended for: Narrow root, wide shoulders, breasts that are "front and center" (though maybe not if they touch in the center).
Not recommended for: Wide root, narrow shoulders, petite women, or high-set breasts.
I've altered the center gore on this bra so that the wires just touch in the middle, as I do with every bra.
This bra gives me the most amazing rounded shape, and it's definitely my workhorse bra. It's quite comfortable, and I don't find myself adjusting much at all. The band could be smaller (but I'm a 26-27" ribcage, so it's not the bra's fault), and I usually wear it on the tightest hook. I plan on adding extra elastic to it when I have a sewing machine.
I didn't find the cup height to be bothersome (many women say they're too tall), but I have a fairly long torso. Obviously I found the gore to be too long, but my breasts almost touch in the center, so that's true of every bra.
This bra is very beautiful and gives a great uplifted shape under clothes. The thin padding is my favorite type, there for modesty and extra warmth without adding any bulk. Apart from the look, my favorite part is the straps. They are so comfortable! I have narrow, slopy shoulders and bra straps usually give me trouble, but these are soft and cute in case they happen to sneak out from under your top. I did have a couple of fit problems. I’m a full on the bottom person so if I’m not standing up straight there’s a little gaping at the top. It’s not noticeable through clothes though. In fact, the bra lies very smoothly under clothes. I’m wearing this one of the middle hook and the fabric on the bottom does roll up on me. Had Freya made a 28 band, that might have solved the problem because there is a little extra room there, but the 30 band on the middle hook feels snug, so a smaller band might have been uncomfortable. All in all very nice.
I really really like this bra. I got it in a cherry red color, with little bows and lace details. It has a little bit of quad boob, but other than that it fits comfortably. I tried this is a 32FF and a 32GG (there wasn't a 32 G available) and the 32FF fit better. There is lacy detail all around the band and it can become kind of uncomfortable and itchy, and the straps are set wider apart than most plunge bras, but other than that it is an amazing bra. :3 I still suck at these.
I got this bra from Nordstrom when I first got measured, and it fit right. Now, it doesn't fit as good because the band has stretched out a bit and my boobs have gotten bigger. The straps are set kind of far apart, and the lacy bits (for lack of a better word) can become uncomfortable when you aren't used to it. The seams on the cup are visible through shirts, so not a t-shirt bra at all. Overall it's comfortable and I'd recommend it to someone. I'm bad at writing these things.
For me, I'm not exactly sure if this bra ended up being too big or too small..
The cups were very tall that it gaped at the top, but the underwires were definitely too small because they didn't didn't sit in the crease of my breast, but somewhere on my breast tissue. When I scooped my breast tissue inside the cup, it looked better but it did not like to stay in it, and escaped to the side of the bra. I did not get the cleavage that the bra advocates for, the cups were somewhat far apart and the underwire poked my sternum. I had to sew the center gore together a bit then it no longer had this issue. I like that the straps are thick, it gives a lot of support. It makes the bust really high and makes you look thinner.
I had to order this on short notice to wear with a strapless dress. It works well as a strapless and seems to fit well enough (although a part of the underwire is HUGELY painful and leaves a horrible mark even after wearing it for just a few hours).
However, when worn with the straps, my boobs are fighting to escape the thing--tissue spilling out over the top and sides and smooshed together in the middle--not attractive. I'm wondering if I'd be better served by a 28F or even FF, except I'm not sure how that'd affect the wear as a strapless, and I can't exchange it now. I just wish I could wear it with the straps, because it's just about useless to me as it is. So painful!
It is an absolutely gorgeous bra, though. I love the detailing.. oooh the velvet. Got a lot of compliments in the dressing room. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I love this bra - the shape of the cups suits me very well and it is quite comfortable. The longline aspect does take a little getting used to, and does roll up when I slouch, although I find keeping it on the tighter set of hooks is more comfortable and helps with this problem.
I do find that it digs in a bit on the bottom of the underwire, although this might be a fitting problem.
I have the same problem with my nude Deco: the tops of the cups just don't sit right. I don't have the problem with any other colours.
