I wanted this bra in this color and this size was on sale. Have to say the band is very comfy on the second set of hooks. Fits just like 42H - Elomi » Amelia Spacer Moulded Bra (8740) but updated. Apparently this is just a better fit for me right now and is saving my back from my looser bralettes right now.
Was thinking about getting a new one of these but I decided on a different more useful bra. Loved my original 40JJ - Elomi » Sachi Plunge Bra I wore it to death though. I might get it again, who knows?
I find this bra very comfy. The band has a good balance between stretch and firmness which seems like it will hold up well. The shape is overall a good match for me, but there is a little more noticable space on my breast that is slightly smaller. It's very lightly padded which seems enough to hold up when it's cold but not so much that it hides natural shape. The gore is a little low which made this somewhat uncomfortable for my shape. I returned this bra.
I was so excited for this in the rosegold color which is a beautiful deep salmon. Unfortunately like most Elomi it just doesn’t play well with my center fullness. The cups are generously sized and they’re too large in any case.
I didn’t realize the cups are made of 2 different fabrics. The inner part is spacer while the outer part is smooth lustrous knitwear with a lace overlay. The band is firmer than most Elomi so I’d need 36F if the shape matched mine better.
I tried the plunge too. It is really pretty and fits similar to Matilda except the elastic at the top cuts into my boobs a little too much. If it was just stretch lace without the elastic it probably would have been a keeper.
It’s super easy to take the elastic off if you have a seam ripper. Just FYI, I do it all the time with my Elomi plunges.
And here is, finally, the bra in a cup size smaller, sorry for the delay my friends. Had a sick cat, so I had to wait for this month to buy. Right so, this model is by far my favorite, since it is the only one, except for Freya Plunge and Kris Line that does not annoy me with the pokey-pokey under my arms. Please do compare with my other pictures for 70K. I am eager for some thoughts. While I still have issues with filling out the bottom of the cup, and the wire is, quite frankly, too wide for me, I do still feel that it is a good ...bra. I tried going down to 70J but honestly, the gore won't lie flat - not an issue with 70K - and I do happen to get a slight quad boob effect. Not very sexy! Or flattering, yikes! Additionally the straps are a bit thinner and instead of 3 hooks, you get 2 hooks in this size. And it REALLY bothers me that the gore isn't lying flat like it does in 70K - because I know that is super important for the support. Elomi bandless is still the most comfortable bra I have tried overall. Read more 95 more words
I would love to get some advice on this bra, as I am not really sure if I totally like it or not. It fits very well, the fabric is super comfortable and the band is the perfect size. But... the wire is very, very wide, something you will notice on my picture from the side. Seeing that is it a bra made for petite chests, it does work quite well for me. They don't dig into my sides. The only problems I have are that it leaves red marks where the straps/top of the cup meets my armfat/arm. And I guess I am pretty asymetric, so one cup has a bit of gap and the other is a tiny bit overflow.
I tried a similar style from Elomi, the Meredith bra. I also had the problem with too wide wires. Elomi is know for quite wide wires. Also on some styles the wires are softer and distort more easily. Meredith and Lydia are some of those styles. Elomi Sachi and Matilda have the more sturdy wires that don't distort as easily.
I think the wires are too wide for you, there is a lot wrinkling on the side and empty space in the cups. Also did you make the shoulder straps very short? They look very painful. Could you wear them a bit looser without falling off? I usually adjust my straps so I can fit 2 fingers under them then they are not too tight for me.
I’ll try adjusting the straps, thanks! All bras I have tried (maybe 30 now) have wrinkling in the bottom of the cups and space there >.> I do not really know what to do about it, I tried some Polish bras with narrow wires but same issues. At least I can wear this one a whole day without problems. The other Elomi styles are too high in the wing, only the band less ones work but I use such a big cup size that makes the wires even wider and longer :X I have tried so many now -_-
Yes if a bra fits "weird" I learned that it is a good thing to adjust straps so they are not overly tightened. It can distort the fit. Also you can put on the bra with an extender. Sometimes it can show you the cup is actually too big / sometimes overly tightened straps and a tight band can disguise that a cup is too big. (I'm not sure if this is the case on your bra, I say it as a general tip. I had bras that I could not understand why they are so tall and unsupportive and the straps hurt me... then I loosened the straps I found out that the bra was too big,)
I think you are right - it looks like the band is pulling the wire very tight and therefore making the cup shallow. I adjusted the straps which didn’t do anything for the fit, so I think the problem is a combination of a cup size too big and a band size too small. I will try to order in 75J to see if it is only the band or also the cup (that’s 34GG I believe).
DeathZhade 34GG would be the sister size to the 32H you have here. Larger band but similar cup volume. If you can, try 34G too?
This fit three or four years ago but I had a pregnancy and I have gained a few pounds (5 or 7lbs). Now it is uncomfortable. It used to be quite comfortable and one of the few that didn't have wires digging into my arms. I guess I have a short torso. I am 5'4''.
Wings too short on the sides to comfortably fit my side-fat. Gore sits really comfortably. Bra feels all around too small, but I think thats from a too-small cup size, as the band size almost feels too large. Had to take it off after 30mins because it was just so all-round uncomfortable/feeling pressure (probably because cup too small, band too large). Feel like 1.5cup sizes up and 1band size down could work.
Underwires are so far around under my arms that they feel AMAZINGLY comfortable but I know the bra is too big. Gore too high and cuts into sternum. Feels like all my boob is on the side/outer edge of my body and is being pulled that way (probably from too large cup size). Feels like boobs are being flattened/ pulled outwards. Front gets a weird pointy shape that looks silly on my body size.
How strange it is to learn I’ve been wearing the wrong size- much too large in the cup and too small in the band- for quite a while.
I sized down to 42HH - Elomi » Kim Plunge Bra (4340) in this bra but then started to notice a lot of sagging and some wrinkling in the top of the cup sometimes. I decided I would try 42H just too see. Not surprisingly the cup elastic cuts in somewhat but besides that the fit is perfect! I feel like the problems of the 42HH (wings too tall, wires too wide, straps too wideset) are completely resolved. All I need to do is take a seam ripper to the cup elastic and voila! I will be purchasing this at heavy discount in my favorite color way. Hurray!
Lydia is absolutely based on the Etta frame. Super narrow wires for an Elomi bra, low gore, low sides, it even has a keyhole gore like Etta does. But it doesn't feel right to me. The gore doesn't completely tack and I've got some cutting in from the elastic on top, but it's not a huge amount? But it also feels...flat? Shallow? It reminds me a bit of how Carmen fit. It also, unlike Morgan and Etta, doesn't give me a very flattering shape, and is kind of flattened natural, I guess is the best way of putting it. And, as usual, need more depth at the bottom.
Band is very stretchy, which makes it very comfy. The elastic pattern is nice, and I really like the little charm on the gore. But overall I'd say this was the biggest disappointment of the four I tried.
Likes: - Its so pretty! I want to show this bra off it looks so nice - The adjustable straps, you can wear them normally or criss cross them - It hides surprisingly well under shirts for being dark red
Dislikes: - The gore is a little too high - doesn't bother me much though - The wires are too long and poke me under the armpit (however i haven't been able to find a bra that doesn't do this) - The cups sit a little low (almost on my ribs) which makes it a bit uncomfortable after wearing it for a full day
It’s also available in a pretty plunge!
